moving son nursery out of money worries?

My son is nearly 2, and has been settled in a great nursery for just over a year now, but I've been accepted into college to do a course i've tried to do for a while now, and they've said they may have a place at their onsite nursery for RM. Is it unreasonable to move RM out of convienance, the nursery hes at already costs me money, and i skin myself to send him so he wont become an unsociable child, but the college one is a free place for students. Can anyone offer advice as its worrying me sick as i dont want to upset RM or unsettle him :(

He's so young it won't matter, don't worry, he'll be ok within a couple of weeks.

I'd move him. I'm sure he will settle fairly quickly and in a while won't even remember the old nursery.

Agree with MrsNonSmoker. I have known quite a few families move nurseries for this reason and the children are all perfectly happy in their new settings.

We moved our two last week for cost reasons and they're already settled at their new place. Also had to move them very abruptly when they were about your son's age and had a few minor hiccups but nothing major.

If you're happy with the college nursery then I'd go for it.

I'd agree, he probably won't miss 'friends' etc and as long as you like the new nursery I would take the opportunity of the free childcare. Presumably this would also be more convenient for you too?

Thanks, the new nursery is less than a year old, and the facilities are amazing, plus he really liked it when he visited it and there are more children in the room whichi think hed ptefer :) thanks everyone.
