If sperm has come into contact with your vagina on a day ending in 'Y' - YANBU to think you are pregnant.

You can test from Day 28 or so onwards, or 8 to 9 days post ovulation with a First Response (the pink box) test. Test with first morning urine. Buy a box of 2. If it is negative, you can test again on Day 30 and be reasonably sure of the result (or at least prepare yourself for your period turning up).

I have had positive results with that brand of test at 8 days past ovluation with all 3 of my pregnancies. Ovluation was based on digiital ovluation testing.

I miss peeing on sticks.

Perhaps there is some kind of relatively benign chronic illness that involves urine testing I might succumb to.

I did a test and it said you didn't need to do it with the first pee of the day. Had a test at the drs once too and they also said it didn't need to be the first one of the day either?

It doesn't NEED to be but to be honest if you are testing as early as 8 or 9 days past ovulation then it may as well be.

Bear in mind I found out I was pregnant 8 days before I was even due my period!!! That's how sensitive the tests are BUT if you are doing it that early, FMI is the most accurate.

If you are simply testing because you are a few days overdue, then absolutely, any urine is fine.

You could test your urine for sugar Tatty. Not that exciting. Peeing on sticks is much like scratching a scratch card. Bit of a rush, then a let down, but always with the knowledge you'll be back again soon.
