I'll breastfeed where I bloody well want when my baby is hungry!

Following on from another thread that got the old cogs whirring, I am always saddened by the fact that some people have a problem with women breastfeeding in public and expect bf mums to 'hide away' because it makes them feel uncomfortable.

I will always bf my baby where-ever and whenever she wants a feed and if someone doesn't like the fact that I am giving her amazing milk with amazing benefits they can do one!

I was so discreet when feeding my babies even a person beside me didn't realise I was bfeeding.

My BIL's wife was sitting beside me and after 5 minutes noticed I was feeding and ordered BIL and her son out of the room. I said I didn't mind, but she insisted I "needed my privacy" Hmm!

I fed mine everywhere: Ikea (although that's Swedish - so it's probably a requirement in there!!)
Doing the shopping in Sainsburys (yes walking down the isles), having a very demanding baby it was often the only way I could do anything. I never got approached, but then I don't know how anybody would have complained, because you couldn't see anything.

FindingStuffToChuckOut · 14/01/2011 11:53

I agree with you totally OP and FWIW I don't think you were being aggressive at all.

Only had one complaint by stealth - from a friend I was in a cafe with. She told me the people at the table behind me (what the one I can't see?), were whispering about me. Actually it was her that had the problem with it. Not seen her since! Perhaps people do comment & whisper but I'm oblivious to it - if they have a problem with a baby feeding, it's their problem, not mine.

Nobody is threatened by your views. Climb down out of your own arse. I think that you are the insecure one. You obviously need to be validated as a 'breastfeeder' to feel important. I really don't care if you're riled or not. You're clearly not here for intelligent discussion.

Keep laughing. You look like a crazy loon

I could never manage the bf whilst walking around shopping! I always found that quite a talent! X

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 14/01/2011 12:33

That's probably because you don't have tits or a baby for that matter

Agree with your post giddy
Some people just aren't comfortable and that is their right but it is not on to give a woman dirty looks or tut at her for bf - it is hard enough without that!
Andrewofgg
Wow I can't believe you saw a woman bf whilst driving! That is crazy! And she should have waited!
