Why? My parents are Irish and all their immediate family are over here...or are you talking aboubt extended family?

Not really. Some people move over with their families.

It sounds like polite conversation. ANd yes, I get asked it constantly it doesn't bother me. Pull the bug out.

I guess so. It just always seems an odd question as they know I just came here as I married a brit lol. :)
