To be hacked off at neighbours dog crapping all over our garden.

We live in a flat with shared gardens. There is a neighbouring farm next door from which a dog comes over to our lawn and craps everyday. It's really worrying me now as children play on lawn and it's a health hazard. What can I do about it?
There is no possibility of putting boundry between farm and us as it's a big area.

Don't know what you can do about it but it's bloody annoying. It's catshit that gets into our garden. The dogs round here seem to specialise in crapping right outside garden gates. Thanks for the present, Rover. You're too kind.

I told my neighbour to remove her dog crap from my garden and she did!

Tis disgusting wespecially when i observed her watching her dog doing it's business on my lawn and chose to ignore for 2 days.

our front garden is tiny and we park our car next to it. My disabld child and i have had dog crap on our shoes countless times.

Can you wait with a bucket of water to throw over it or a hose pipe? Just make it feel unwelcome without hurting it. It might be better to ask the owners even, or warn them you might do this (whilst asking them to come and remove what is there from the garden).

Dogs aren't allowed out on their own are they (I live in a city so may be a bit ignorant about this), so the owner has no leg to stand on, and dog poo is a health hazard.

Assertive way: go and talk to the owner - it's their responsibility to keep their dog out of your garden

My neoghbours dpg often jumps over the fence and shits in my garden. I'm sick of it.

Now every Sunday (when they are sleeping off a hangover) I call round, bang on the door and proffer a tesco bag with the words 'poo time'.

It's terrible that you have to pick it up - hope they get the message - how long has this been going on?

Go and talk to the owner, explain the problem and tell them that you require them to prevent your dog encroaching upon your land.

If the dog is trespassing onto your land it's a civil matter but hopefully it shouldn't come to needing to take the matter further. You won't know until you broach the subject though, will you?

Dammit... tell them to keep their dog off your land, of course.

I moved into a new house once and the guy two doors down let his dog poo in my garden even after I asked nicely, so in the the end I got a shovel, collected the poo and placed it on his doorstep, it worked.

I like dogs so wouldn't dream of causing it distress but just want to warn it off.

TBH they have had so many warnings from the housing about numerous things that they have no option to do it or they're out if I complain.

They did put up dome flimsy fencing (think trellis) but the dog is that big it just knocks it down.

Two words..dog warden. Wonder how the farmer will fancy forking out £100+ to retrieve his dog.

Something I've done too

take some photos as evidence & show them to your neighbour with a polite request they control their dog and clean up any existing poop.

If they don't you can complain to your council perhaps? Or call dog warden.
