Now I'm a new and at the same elderly member of this great British Establishment but I had a distressing experience a couple of days ago which I felt that I just must share.

Now I popped into my local public house for a breakfast which including a steaming cup of tea. Nothing like a nice steaming cup of tea in the morning. Anyway I digress. After paying for said cup of tea I was carrying it to my table when I heard a shout of 'Watch out!'. I looked around baffled, I mean this is a nice establishment one doesn't expect to hear people shouting. It was then that I saw a small child toddling around on the floor infront of me. I realised that the dreadful shouting was coming from a young woman standing nearby presumbably this child's mother. We had what I felt was a reasonably civilised conversation and I went to my table.

Then what do I hear behind me but 'clomp, clomp, clomp'. She was following me readers! I quickened my step and put my head down. I mean this is a nice establishment you just don't expect this sort of thing here!

Am I being unreasonable to think that this young lady was extremely rude and needs to learn to respect her elders! Toodle pip for now. Yours shaken but not stirred.

Apology accepted, but please remember

STANDARDS MUST BE MAINTAINED

Must dash- just crocheting a blanket for a needy child somewhere ghastly and Northern.

Mrs D, you really need to find a more salubrious establishment to have a cup of tea in. Wetherspoons is a cess pit. What you want is a nice cuppa and a scone in M & S or similar Grin
