I recall the author of the book speaking very eloquently on Radio 4 several years ago. I have been a lot more careful about my fish purchases since then.

But I don't really read or watch movies here at the baby & toddler coalface ... it has not always been thus, but planning to catch up in few years

It's not about sustanbility -it's about the quotas.

They are throwing away sustained fish now and their hands are tied.

We are! That discard rule is crazy! I don't know what fish to buy or eat now, very confusing and so sad .

bottom line, it's a damned disgrace that these men risk their lives for fish that they have to throw back. (ya know, on top of time, petrol costs etc). the system is outrageous.
