Kenneth Tong on Twitter

Is it unreasonable to hope twitter would do something to this vile man's twitter? Or is it unreasonable to expect 'free speech' as such to be blocked.
Kenneth Tong is on Twitter actively promoting 'Managed Anorexia' and tweeting pro-Ana slogans. He is directly tweeting to people about their weight etc and offering up his 'Size Zero Pill' (because Zero's are Heroes).

He's a knob. An attention seeking knob. The less attention he gets the better.

Agreed, but it doesn't work that way, as he has trended for the past week and there are genuine young girls on there who want his advice/help.

I saw something about this the other day on Twitter and looked at his profile. The man is an attention seeking moron.

Unfortunately the more the celebrities are tweeting what a twat he is, the more attention he is getting.

After reading his tweets, I think he either has serious mental issues, or knows exactly what he is doing just to get his name in lights.

what do you expect them to do though? Personally would block and then "report as spam" if he tweeted me, but as twitter is a US sight they advocate freedom of speech (just so long as you're not tweeting about, or supporting wiki leaks ).

Not sure what I expect them to do, I suppose, although I know they can block trending topics. They block Justin Bieber ones (thank heavens!)

He was on Big Brother wasn't he? Weedy little scrote talking about female beauty. Total pathetic misogynist. If I meet him in RL ever I shall pat him on the head with a patronising smile and say 'Aw, bless'.

Totally missed this hoo-ha... Johann Hari mentioned it today so looked it up.

Tong himself tweeted that it was all a hoax, and seems to have deleted all relevant stuff from his account. Making it difficult for me to see what occurred, so I came to MN, the source of all knowledge to find out. He was promoting anorexia in some way, you say?

it is true apparently there was a discussion with his friend which centered round whether it was possible, to go from nowhere to be a globally recognized figure within a week harnessing the power of the internet and specifically Twitter. Tong decided to use anorexia to promote something that is universally appalling in order to 'take him to fame'

I worked briefly with Johann Hari, and have massive respect for him. He's tweeted that Kenneth Tong has incriminated himself massively in tomorrows Evening Standard interview. An hour after the interview, Tong was begging Hari not to print it and when Hari said NO, Tong "outed" himself as a "publicity stunt".

The gist of it was, he was telling everyone they were too fat and to buy overpriced size zero pills from him.

After lots of people have complained and bitched, including celebrities, he's been trending as one of the most talked about topics on twitter all week.

He's finally been interviewed in print, (by the one journalist you can count on to get the most contrary spin on things[in a good way]) and suddenly he's realised he's going to look like an utter twat if he doesn't do something to sway public opinion back in his favour. So apparently it's all a publicity stunt, he's giving TONNES of money to an anorexia charity, and he'll probably get a regular column of 'how to be a knob' in the Mirror or something.

Pretty grim reading, sounds like Tong is one fucked up guy.

I do like Johann Hari a lot, but kinda carry round in the back of my mind just how MASSIVELY wrong he was about Iraq.

Tong is a wee nyaff - the Daily Record calls him 'reality tv star Tong' when he was only on Big Brother cos he was the boyfriend of one of them. There was some rumour a while back of him and some Scottish footballers getting up to no good.

Heathen He has at least admitted it though.

Hari's personal website has the whole interview transcribed, which was TBH quite amusing reading. "I'm more intelligent than the average chav... By the way what does misogyny mean? And could you define compassion?"

I rather wish twitter had killed the man off (KT) but I'm not suprised that they didn't. Now he will simply fade back into obscurity, because no one will ever trust another thing to come out of his mouth.
