To get really annoyed about crap couriers?

I ordered a duvet cover set from John Lewis online - the whole point being that I don't have the time or the energy to go down to the shop at this time of year, and I needed a new set, and decided to treat myself in the sales.

After two weeks and the UK Mail tracking system never telling me where they were, I phoned them up. They were sent to my work address, on a Saturday, and signed for by B.Link. Despite my telling them that nobody is here within a few streets on Saturday, and if there was there was no B.Link, they can't refund me until they can work out whether they've actually been delivered or not.

I know it;s a duvet set and not the end of the world, but I've chucked my old ones, going to the Oxford St branch left me empty-handed and exhausted (I have recently been diagnosed with anaemia and I'm constantly tired right now, so shopping is not fun) and someone either couldn't be arsed leaving a card or has stolen my goods.

Also, a few months ago the Boots couriers decided to leave a parcel containing £60 worth of goods on the front doorstep. As in, not covered by anything, not hidden, but right on the step. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't my 'suggested place' and it got stolen. NNGH.
