I may be being a bit precious but I wince whevever anyone says it. I've had an easy life but know people that have been through hell and always think about people like that whenever anyone says it.

The people who have said it me are, without exception, not very bright.

What has happened to me is entirely random and I've done nothing to deserve it. But they're the sort of people who can't handle that. Somewhere deep down, they must believe that somehow I've asked for it, or I need a lesson which only this 'tragedy' can teach me. I think that's implicit in the comment.

I try not to get cross though. It says more about them than me Wink.

People who've dealt with truly bad shit, I've noticed, tend not to spout such guff

Ha ha Lady, I would but its too much to type out, I wanted something short and sweet. I may add to it later though. Grin

I t6hink folk like the idea of some pattern in the chaos that gives meaning to the universe.

But the truth is we should take control of our own destiny as much as we possibly can, while accepting that certain terrible things happen for no reason whasoever.
