To have turned into John Lewis woman

We ordered the wrong-sized cot mattress and didn't realise til we'd opened it. On their website, John Lewis said that opened mattresses could not be returned for hygiene reasons - but not only did they agree to replace the mattress with a bigger one, we got to keep the smaller one AND we didn't have to pay the difference between the two!!!

Beat that Mothercare.

They are renowned for their customer service but wow, that's pretty amazing!!

So you ordered the wrong thing - they didn't mess up your order?

That sounds almost like too good customer service to me.

Perhaps they didn't understand what you were saying had happened and thought it was their mistake?!

Considering you could have tried it in the cot before opening it, I'm amazed.
