Police undercover job. Newsnight TV 10.30(mon) Paxo? maybe

A preview said a police officer was undercover for 7 years in a campaigning
group under a false name.

strangely they said he may have considered
giving evidence for the defence...
It the 7 years bit that puzzles some
commentators...

It is an amazing story as told on Newsnight. c dont think there will be many officers undercover for 7 years in future. Not against tree huggers anyway. The operation has cost a fortune with with the abandonned trial. Still all big organisations drop clangers
