On the 2 nd of dec I sold ten items of dc clothing to one buyer and so discounted postage to £7.06 (as multiple purchase).
However buyer has been a nightmare and despite claiming clothes did not fit her baby as too small, she filed a dispute saying she had not received. :(

eBay have now refunded her but refunded the price per item and individual postage!!! So about £10 more than what she even paid!!!

I am fuming. Not only have I lost all the clothes ( Boden, next etc) I have also lost the postage which was £7.06 and they have refunded heroes than she paid!!

Surely she can't just get away with this?? Please any advice would be greatfully received x

do you not still have the messages complaining the clothes did not fit?

Niceguy2 · 07/01/2011 17:02

Yes, did you not have to provide evidence?

sadiesadiemarriedlady · 07/01/2011 17:03

Have you kept copies of any emails sent from the buyer, in particular the email about the clothes not fitting? If so that will show that she has received the items and is lying. You should forward these to ebay as ebay does not just refund if a buyer has just changed their mind.

armani · 07/01/2011 17:03

Yes I do, but she has claimed she made a typo and meant to say she didn't think they would fit :(

I can't see how to reply to the case as it's been closed In her favour. What shall I do about the postage?

I am struggling to understand this. I sell on ebay so do know how it works, and if the postage was recalculated on a multiple purchase, only that amount should be refunded.

Did you send by trackable postage methods?

(Ebay are twats when it comes to reasoning though. I had a similar problem and despite me having proof through ebays email system that the item had arrived, they still refunded as "item not received" after the arse of a buyer decided they didnt like the item. )

FrostyBaubles · 07/01/2011 17:08

Why have ebay refunded her so much,i have always thought that PayPal refund the amount they paid & no more.

Could you not ring somebody at ebay?

This is why ebay has gone shit for genuine sellers, buyers can do what they like & get away with it.

Niceguy2 · 07/01/2011 17:22

must admit, i've started to hate ebay too. I'd love a competitor with better customer service but it just seems there's noone near. Until then we just have to put up with it.

earwicga · 07/01/2011 17:26

Have you got proof of postage? If so you can claim the postage back and (I think) £40 from Royal Mail. Not the same I know, but something.

Niceguy2 - Priceminister is an alternative I think.

bupcakesandcunting · 07/01/2011 17:29

Send her a message caling her a wall-eyed twat. I do this with bastardly buyers. Also call her a pikey fuck in her feedback

HTH

irishqueen · 07/01/2011 17:33

bupcakes lol!!

Tramadol · 07/01/2011 17:33

Why the heck should Royal Mail pay up for this????

Myleetlepony · 07/01/2011 17:35

She means you can claim from Royal Mail for the lost parcel (if you have proof of posting).

Tramadol · 07/01/2011 17:38

But unless Ive misread this, the item probably isnt lost.

earwicga · 07/01/2011 17:43

According to ebay the parcel is lost.

charliesmommy · 07/01/2011 17:45

But the item isnt lost though. Which is rather unfair on Royal Mail.. so morally I do think that is wrong.

bupcakesandcunting · 07/01/2011 18:08

Meh. Royal Mail have lost three of my items since October. I won't be the only one. If they get charged for this, then it just tips the balance back.

FabbyChic · 07/01/2011 18:08

eBay refund the original transaction amount and never more.

She could not have possible received a refund of more than what she paid.

FabbyChic · 07/01/2011 18:09

Or did you use the send money tab to discount the postage? If so then sorry you made a mistake and there is nothing eBay or PayPal will do about it.

YOu have to refund via the original transaction only.
