More snow again today. I hope it doesn't last and the schools here don't shut next week.Arghhhhhhhhhhhh The DC's will be upset as we were going to spend tomorrow at a shopping centre 45 miles away, so they could spend their christmas money.
OH is outside now clearing the driveway.
AIBU to hate snow.

YANBU - and I love snow - there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

biglips · 07/01/2011 13:55

i dont mind snow but dont like icy roads

Ivette · 07/01/2011 16:08

get a grip, its winter! Its supposed to be cold, frosty and snowy so enjoy it while you can coz it will be over soon!

TheManWhoSoldtheWorld · 07/01/2011 16:45

YANBU I used to love a bit of snow, but after this year I wouldn't care if I never saw it again.

Nearly six weeks DS has had off of preschool, now this I wouldn't have minded if you weren't taking your life into your hands to drive anywhere.

The council can't salt on non national roads - ours used to be on the main salting pathway. Luckily our water wasn't frozen, how I don't know as there were a lot of people in town who suffered.

I was actually glad to see the rain.

TheManWhoSoldtheWorld · 07/01/2011 16:47

Oh and I wouldn't complain so much if we had, had more than two days in which DC could wear short sleeves!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/01/2011 16:50

if you are away from scotland should get a fair bit milder for at least through next week :)

TheManWhoSoldtheWorld · 07/01/2011 16:59

If we live near the border in R.O.I, does that mean we are screwed BadKitten?

I live in dread of 4" of snow tomorrow and no school for another while, there is only so much frickin painting and crafty shit you can do.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/01/2011 17:39

i think you will be ok :) tomorrow morning may be a bit tricky (I think it will end up as rain but it could be snow) after that a bit warmer by day and Sunday looks quite nice at the moment.

borderslass · 07/01/2011 17:44

You lot can keep it, we don't want it.

TheManWhoSoldtheWorld · 07/01/2011 17:53

Hope you're right!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/01/2011 18:05

so do I, else I'll feel a bit silly!

Carrotsandcelery · 07/01/2011 18:44

Does that mean it will snow in Scotland? Hmm

borderslass · 07/01/2011 19:08

Bugger it's arrived here Sad

TheManWhoSoldtheWorld · 07/01/2011 19:28

Feckin snowing here too!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/01/2011 22:50

don't worry Man, shouldnt last through the morning
in Scotland errmmm. yes. lol!

TheManWhoSoldtheWorld · 07/01/2011 23:27

It's laid so far, but stopped for the moment, I'll hold you to that BadKitten.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 08/01/2011 08:37

Did you get any more??

TheManWhoSoldtheWorld · 08/01/2011 09:05

It's everywhere. It's supposed to rain and melt it all today.

Carrotsandcelery · 08/01/2011 10:31

We have a couple of inches. I have to admit it looks better than the dirty frozen icy snow that was hanging about yesterday so at least it is pretty.
I have to drive my son to the stables in half an hour though so I am a bit Hmm about that.

bandgeek · 08/01/2011 10:37

We have got a good couple of inches here in Fife. However, I think the couple of feet we had a few weeks back has hardened us up and we are all prepared for it now. I am the proud owner of a shiny new shovel, have a blanket in my car and loads of de-icer.

Let the snow do its worse Grin
