MaryAnnSingleton · 06/01/2011 21:17

blackeyedsusan · 06/01/2011 21:19

Actually, now I come to think of it... there does seem to be a definate lack, but maybe I am spending too much time mning?

posey · 06/01/2011 21:25

Really MintAeroBar? I always thought the adverts started straight after Christmas along with those for Hoseasons boating brochures Smile

MintAeroBar · 06/01/2011 21:27

Hmm. Possibly! Apologies. Only had two Christmases in the UK, so have not even heard of Hoseasons!! I thought you literally meant THIS year! Ooops! Blush

southeastastra · 06/01/2011 21:29

the aston martin is over 2ft long, i am tempted myself Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/01/2011 21:31

southeast - DH worked out that it would cost about £800 to buy all the magazines, which put him off Grin

StationaryPawn · 06/01/2011 21:33

Yes but by the time you have bought all the following bits - you could have bought a real one!!!

I love boating brochures Blush - and caravan ones - there's something about the 'plans' from above and where all the kitchen stuff and beds go i find fascinating....

posey · 06/01/2011 22:09

Sorry MintAeroBar (which incidentally is ds's absolute fave choc bar Grin) I wondered if anyone would get my reference to Hoseasons boating brochures Grin
I can pretty much sing he entire advert still even 30 odd years later and always remember nagging my mum to let us send off for one!

reup · 06/01/2011 22:16

I sang that only the other day. My brother and I would constantly send off for those brochures and caravan ones and beg to go to butlin.

I haven't seen any part works at all. I had loads of them as a kid. Well loads of the the 1st 3 that were cheap.

Recently all the kids one seem to be the same firm. something italisn soundin.

posey · 06/01/2011 22:18

Something like diagostini I think? Smile

OP posts:
StationaryPawn · 06/01/2011 22:19

Like Pannini stickers....that sounded exotic to the 7 year old me.

reup · 06/01/2011 22:24

Yes diagostini. I thought it was that then I hesitated. Must remember to go with my first answer.

I was very jealous of my brothers all about science ones. He got all the official binders too.

The don't seem to have the Christmas estee Lauder adverts either. That used to feel like the start of Christmas to me.

KurriKurri · 06/01/2011 22:28

DD and I were bemoaning this only last night. Then we saw the £1000 model Aston Martin one and all was right with the world Grin

reup · 06/01/2011 22:30

I hope my ds never sees that ad. It would just go on his list of things that would make him happy for ever
