.... and AIBU to think that Miley Cyrus, with her overacting and gurning, needs to be shot?

Well, being shot is a bit extreme, but yes it is shit.

It is a rational hatred IMO!

JoBettany · 06/01/2011 20:14

I agree, theres nothing irrational about it.

I hate the Disney Channel with a passion and it is now banned in this house after I had to sit through 'The Suite Life on Deck'.

Never Again.

SarahStrattonsBaubles · 06/01/2011 20:17

My hatred of those two is only exceeded by that of 'Sonny with a Chance' and that one where 2 girls have an online blogshow thing.

Disney Channel also removed in this house.

Panzee · 06/01/2011 20:19

My nephew made me sit through "Pair of Kings" on Disney XD. They couldn't even be bothered to come up with a set! And the acting, sheesh!

Oh and OP, YABU to call it irrational hatred. :o

JoBettany · 06/01/2011 20:27

I am happy to say I have never seen 'Sonny witha Chance' but if it's anything like any other shows the boys will be portrayed as nerds or sex/food obsessed idiots and the girls will wander around talking about 'cell phones', 'dates' and bloody lipstick.

Unless Shock the girl has a brain and she will be portrayed as an outsider or 'different' in some way.

It makes me SO ANGRY!!

Thank God for Spongebob Grin

YANBU my dd watches Hannah Montana all the time I am sure I've seen every episode at least 5 times. Same goes for suite life, sonny with a chance and bloody I Carly.

Drives me mad.

wishingforcrystalball · 06/01/2011 20:36

What's that?
A Hat?
A crazy funky junky hat.
Overslept hair unslightly
Trying to look like Keira Knightly
We've been there, we've done that
We see right through your funky hat!!

Maybe being driven slightly mad by Wizards of Waverley Place.

SarahStrattonsBaubles · 06/01/2011 20:38

I Carly, that's the offender Angry

I quite liked WOWP. I also quite liked the Australian one about mermaids.

JoBettany · 06/01/2011 20:38

Actually, out of all of the ones I watched Wizards was the least awful.

Major compliment.

southeastastra · 06/01/2011 20:38

i caught my son watching icarly and zack and curly or whatshisname the other day. i really do not approve of this american shite.

it's so overacted and over mature. american kids tv is so way off the mark.

Panzee · 06/01/2011 20:43

When I was younger I loved Saved By the Bell. Watched it all the time. My god it's shit. I suppose it's the same as kids watching this crap now. :o

wishingforcrystalball · 06/01/2011 20:44

We did have High School Miserable sketch (whichever show it's from) on continuous play as well. Found the 101 different types of wedgies funny the first time - not the 101 time of watching it though.

wishingforcrystalball · 06/01/2011 20:45

Panzee wash your mouth out - Zach was lush - there was nothing shit about it!!!

Panzee · 06/01/2011 20:53

Never! I loved it at the time and I loved Zach too but the acting had more wood than a forest...

wishingforcrystalball · 06/01/2011 20:59

Shhh - fingers in the ear - lalalala

you are speaking truth rubbish!!!

PlanetEarth · 06/01/2011 21:11

For some reason it reminds me of Happy Days, which I always hated too. Kids/youths simpering and thinking they're cool while the fake audience chuckles.

FrostyTheCrunchyFrog · 06/01/2011 21:16

I love Hannah Montana Blush and also have a bit of a thing about Billy Ray.

Sad innit. Grin

CamelToeAndWine · 06/01/2011 21:21

Oh, see, I quite like iCarly Blush

YANBU

DD is only 5 and I am very pleased that we have managed to pretty much avoid Hannah Montana (she has only seem anything like this at other peoples houses).

I'm resigning myself to her reaching an age where I won't be able to avoid this type of crap programming. Although DD has resisted the Hello kitty craze pretty well, whilst all her friends are mad on it. So perhaps there is hope...
