Being very annoyed with my OH

My kids are going away for a week with school later in the year. We chose the trip date so my husband and I could go away for a few days ourselves at his insistence. Now I've found he's messed up and is away with work this week. He won't apologize and is refusing to admit he made a mistake. AIBU to expect him to grovel a lot and what would you do with a week alone?

Could you combine his working away with a short break. Stay in the same hotel and get together in the evenings on his return.

I would love a few days alone.. I would be off to Rome or Prague and happily wandering around with my camera, sitting having coffees, and generally enjoying the peace!

Though to be fair, Prague is not peaceful, too many tourists. Can I recommend Budapest? It has lots of lovely warm spas.
