She has just written 'a business proposal in the style of a fairy tale' to send to a famous 1960s popstar, requesting that he buys her childhood home and runs it as a B&B The plan involves him letting her use it one month out of twelve, and using that profit to pay him back, so that ultimately she will buy it from him.
AFAIK he has no interest/history in this type of business.
Neither does she.
The maths doesn't add up.
Why TF would he want to?

I bet it's Paul McCartney. Does your Mum have any history of mental health problems? Sound exactly like the kind of thing my biploar friend does in manic phases. He wrote to Paul McCartney once. Another also bipolar friend went manic when his DD was born and insisted he must write to tell the news to Paul McCartney...and Ken Dodd.

God knows how she has the address -assume c/o record company. Apparently the letter is 19 pages long, handwritten, and 'like a scrapbook'. [despair emoticon]
No history of behaviour like this, but she's a bit eccentric generally.

Thanks for making me feel normal. When I questioned it with DM, I was told I'm a miserable cynic and that everyone else thinks it's a great idea. Maybe he'll come up with the goods, and she'll be proved right!

I work the media and have gone through fan mail on various different shows for various different stars over the yeares and have seen lots of lovely and funny mail.. without reading hers I can't really comment but from your description I'm afraid a letter like that (especially of that length) would be put in the "very odd" box and kept in case any "trouble" arose.

It may be harmless but keep an eye on her!
