I know I should. And I will. But oh God, I am scared of what those scales will say . . . Grin

On the plus side, I lost a stone through Nov / Dec so at least am a stone lighter than I would have been!

Anyone care to post words of support?

Oh I've been on the scales of shame countless times at WW. Don't worry, you'll be in good company, I mean how many people have bothered sticking to their points over Christmas? Only the freaks!

Well done for losing a stone, and good on you for keeping it up.

Must find a local meeting myself.

Boozilla · 03/01/2011 15:46

No need to be scared, they are very welcoming to new joiners and you should be very proud of yourself for making the first step (and for losing a stone already!)

I'm back on the points today. It's all about control I think. I feel better about myself just for taking control back of my eating habits and my health!

Best of luck to you! Smile

Good luck and I hope it isn't to scary for you.

Brave to go I think.

pranma · 03/01/2011 16:03

I am scared too-my meeting is on Thursday night so I am hoping to exist on fresh air till then.I lost 3 stones between Feb and Dec last year but I am sure I have put about 7lbs on over Christmas.Good Luck.

bloomingnora · 03/01/2011 16:16

Weighing in won't make you any heavier - be brave and face up to the scales. You'll lose lots this coming week - first week of Jan is excellent for weight loss. I am off to slimming world in a minute. I feel your pain!

LifeIsButtercream · 03/01/2011 16:22

Don't be scared! Look at this weigh-in as your starting point, and believe that it will be getting lower and lower every week - I'm going back to Weightwatchers in 2 weeks, it is daunting, but no one there will judge you - you are all in the same boat!

All the best!

wATEwatcher · 03/01/2011 17:37

At least it's stopping me have anything to eat now!

I'm guessing I've put on around half a stone Shock due to all the Christmas sitting around either at home or with friends.

Please let me know how well / badly it went for you all so I am not alone Smile

YABU- xmas is barley over yet.. Much too early to be doing WW!

BlackandGold · 03/01/2011 17:40

I know someone who put on 12lbs recently!

At least you are going back and not ducking the issue. It might not be as bad as you think.

wATEwatcher · 03/01/2011 18:15

Yes black, it's the facing up to it now that is the hard bit! Christ, hope I haven't put on 12lbs though...

Thne last time I did weightwatchers at christmas time I put on 13lb in 2 weeks over christmas time and was the biggest gainer and very embarrased. But most of it was water as by the next weigh in I lost 9lb, and 4 the next week so it took the same amount of time to come off as go on. Hope you haven't gained anywhere near that but don't feel bad that you've indulged at christmas, you are taking the right steps to being happier with your weight. Good luck

bloomingnora · 03/01/2011 19:08

I lost a pound!

Grin

Although this was probably owing to the fact I couldn't drink on New Year's Eve....

RiojaLover75 · 03/01/2011 19:43

How did you get on wATEwatcher?

wATEwatcher · 03/01/2011 21:35

Just got back - I put on 2lbs but was expecting it to be so much worse!

Between you and me Grin I am aiming to be goal weight by the time I see Take That Grin Grin

blooming well done! Losing weight is fabulous, I am envious (in a nice, Christmassy way) Xmas Envy

Oh ww well done-2lbs is great-my honest estimate is about 4 but will let you know after Thursday

bloomingnora · 04/01/2011 20:15

It was the same pound that I put on over Christmas if that helps! 2 on is actually pretty good consdering how you were feeling about it. Good luck for Thursday Pranma!

1980Sport · 04/01/2011 20:57

I put on 1lb - very pleased as I ate my own weight in chocolate over Xmas! Starting the new ProPoints plan tomorrow - I'm excited! (how sad) determined to lose ds2 weight before he hits six months!!

pranma · 06/01/2011 21:40

Well I went and had lost half a pound but have been living on Bovril and low fat hot cross buns for 3 days!I just ate a plate of spag bol and really enjoyed it [legal]I'm finding these new 'pro points' difficult though.

bloomingnora · 07/01/2011 15:59

Well done! Although I am not sure that bovril and hot cross buns is a balanced diet (I can't talk though because I ate two earlier and a piece of cake. But no actual food).

pranma · 07/01/2011 20:28

I agree re 'balanced diet' I have been eating normally within the plan today and dh came to WW with me for the first time so we are working on it together.

onceamai · 07/01/2011 20:40

Well done you. Have just cancelled my subscription because have lapsed since late May!!! Feeling fat and frumpy. You at least are still a stone lighter.

shoshe · 07/01/2011 21:09

I just started tonight, lost 4 stone a few years ago, but it is slipping back on again.
