What's a doozy?

TrillianAstra · 01/01/2011 23:07

Let's hear it.

I only made one small snarky remark to MIL.

Dropdeadfred · 01/01/2011 23:08

My MIL has said she will never come to ours for christmas day ever again.......Smile

AnyoneforTurps · 01/01/2011 23:10

Marry a man from a culture that doesn't celebrate Christmas and whose parents live in a different country - worked for me Wink

Brasso4 · 01/01/2011 23:13

I am not speaking to my BIL and not prepared to invite him to my house or visit his house until he apologises to DH and I!

Booandpops · 01/01/2011 23:14

Not yet but am telling them they can't come to watch ice skating on tues they invited themselves and it's a family treat. Is me dh and kids. So I have asked dh to un invite them. Watch this space ha ha

BikeRunSki · 01/01/2011 23:16

In Laws lovely.
Told my mother I was never going to her house again and that I was never spending the night under the same roof as my sister ever again.

carocaro · 01/01/2011 23:17

Well amongst many other things I don't parent my three year old properly and if MIL had him for a week she'd 'sort him out' this from the woman who spent 1 hour screeching at her husband so we had to keep kids in the bath/bathroom so they could not hear them.

The same MIL that on the last three times we have got together has had a massive row with her DH, my DH's step Dad and we've all had to suffer the consequences, step on egg shells etc.

I'm lucky, my In laws live about an hour and a half away.

I have nothing to do with them whatsoever - I haven't seen them since our wedding two years ago and it will be a cold day in hell before I see them again

LostArt · 01/01/2011 23:39

It appears that we're not on speaking terms, and apparently, it's all my fault.

Christmas was bliss without them. Grin

Katey1010 · 02/01/2011 05:09

My MIL said when my DH went with his mates and got drunk until 1am while I was at home with a 3 week old and a blocked duct, he needed to let off steam. She`s on my list.
