AIBU to think that the fireworks in london could have stopped at least 5 mins before they did? It must have cost thousands and yet peeps are being made redundant?

Sorry rather tiddled and self righteous post!

There's another joyless and self righteous thread.

Feel free to join that one too ;)

Waves at fellow joyless and self righteous - not even remotely tiddled here though, unfortunately. Wink

and thousands have gone into london, spending their money there to watch the fireworks... if the display was crap, they wont go next year..

I would rather have organised fireworks than mini bombs going off all around like there has been here since about 8pm..

gillybean2 · 01/01/2011 00:29

fireworks in london finished way earlier than my neighbours. I mean ok if you have to set one off at midnight then fine, but at 20 mins past to still be doing, and having started at 10.30 i think the first one was this evening.

Oh Oh gosh a light hearted question gets turned into an issue! I'm glad it is boosting the economy but moreso the chat...I'm having another drink it's getting too serious for me!
