To be retrospectively freaked out by exP's pubic hair

OK, this is slightly light hearted, but then again not really, because for some reason it's got into my head and I've been obsessing about it the last few days. To be fair I've not been out much over Christmas.

My exP: we dated for a couple of months, I called it a day, we remained friends. Lately I've been cooling on that front too as he's been dropping hints he thinks we're about to start up again Confused

Which is irrelevant, except for the fact that avoiding his texts/suggestions of 'popping round' has made me think about him/us more than usual, and I've remembered something I did register at the time we were having sex but not as strongly as I'm reregistering it now.

His pubic hair was kind of long, and kind of silky... Blush

We didn't have much sex (or good sex) and the lights were always off (his choice) so I didn't get a proper look, maybe I'd have freaked out more at the time but I can remember putting my hand there and thinking, "This is weird..."

Is it weird? Maybe I'm not very experienced but I've never encountered pubic hair that you could actually brush if you wanted. Isn't it usually short and frizzy?

There was other sexual stuff that contributed to us splitting (old thread somewhere about passionless silence/teenage-style humping) and that must have overridden the pubic hair thing. But I'm not exaggerating the length, it was flat and smooth, you could have wrapped it around your finger a few times I think.

And no, this debate I'm having with myself has no actual bearing on my life, past present or future. I'm just wondering really if anyone else has encountered this before and if they did/would feel a bit creeped out by it. Sorry. Blush

I know a pube joke...

Bloke goes to the dentist.

Dentist: "excuse me sir, but have you had oral sex this morning?"

Bloke: "why? is there a pube in my teeth?"

Dentist: "no sir. You have shit on your nose"

Grin Grin Grin

Ok, not really a true pube joke, but I couldn't resist Grin

"Just go into any hair salon and ask for a "Pubic Perm." This is a very common salon service, maybe guys don't know about it, but if you ask any stylist or employee in the shop, they'll know. It's basically a treatment that relaxes the curl in your nether pelt, leaving the hair soft and silky. It doesn't cost much either. Good luck!"

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah! Grin

Hmm I fear the OP has been in bed with an Afghan hound all along but doesnt want to admit it .... the family dog has clearly been the interloper in the relationship ...given that she had never seen her boyfriend nekked

Afghan ..'that was gorgeous darlin!. ..I'm going for a wee on the pee tree in the garden ...do us a favour and get me a sachet of PAL and a couple of Bonios for when I get back'

My dh's pubic hair grows in ringlets. I'm sure I could wrap it around my fingers once or trice if I wanted to. I'd not say it was silky, but it's much softer than mine. I find it very sexy (lucky really!)

SugarMousePink:

It might be worth making sure that you're not passing it back and forth between you and your partner too. It's very possible that he's starting it off but doesn't have symptoms. It might be an idea for you both to take treatment and use condoms for a few days. Years ago with an old partner I was getting thrush all the time and it eventually stopped when I got him treated too.

doesn't epilating pubes really really hurt?

Wasn't there that photo of the young Madonna that was sold recently that showed all her pubes? (I'll never forget someone on here saying it looked like she was giving birth to Rolf Harris).
