To be retrospectively freaked out by exP's pubic hair

OK, this is slightly light hearted, but then again not really, because for some reason it's got into my head and I've been obsessing about it the last few days. To be fair I've not been out much over Christmas.

My exP: we dated for a couple of months, I called it a day, we remained friends. Lately I've been cooling on that front too as he's been dropping hints he thinks we're about to start up again Confused

Which is irrelevant, except for the fact that avoiding his texts/suggestions of 'popping round' has made me think about him/us more than usual, and I've remembered something I did register at the time we were having sex but not as strongly as I'm reregistering it now.

His pubic hair was kind of long, and kind of silky... Blush

We didn't have much sex (or good sex) and the lights were always off (his choice) so I didn't get a proper look, maybe I'd have freaked out more at the time but I can remember putting my hand there and thinking, "This is weird..."

Is it weird? Maybe I'm not very experienced but I've never encountered pubic hair that you could actually brush if you wanted. Isn't it usually short and frizzy?

There was other sexual stuff that contributed to us splitting (old thread somewhere about passionless silence/teenage-style humping) and that must have overridden the pubic hair thing. But I'm not exaggerating the length, it was flat and smooth, you could have wrapped it around your finger a few times I think.

And no, this debate I'm having with myself has no actual bearing on my life, past present or future. I'm just wondering really if anyone else has encountered this before and if they did/would feel a bit creeped out by it. Sorry. Blush

Lolol at OP and anyfucker and mummery as mrsloverlovrr.

Roar at thread

MsKLo · 31/12/2010 08:32

The fact he wasn't great in bed is enough to never go there again and the long silky pubes description made me howl!

Yes, maybe he is a werewolf!

curlymama · 31/12/2010 11:37

Let's hope somebody somewhere gives the poor guy a pair of scissors and tells him how to use them.

Long pubes are not nice.

I did have a boyfriend that had straight pubes once. It looked wierd. I'm not meaning to offend anyone here, but I put it down to the fact that he was a redhead. He was a bloody good shag though thankfully, that was the only reason the relationship lasted beyond a month.

illgetyoubutler · 31/12/2010 12:06

God this thread is funny!
I cant get the picture of Cousin It/Thing from The Adams Family out of my mind.
TBH though, I didnt know it was possible to grow pubes so long to wrap around the finger a few times..that's a new one on me.Hmm

ImpeccableMe · 31/12/2010 13:29

Mummery, you don't live near Oxford do you?

Reason I ask is because my mate went out with a bloke earlier this year with exactly the same "condition". She had to finish it because she couldn't stop thinking about Poppa Smurf everytime they did it! Shock

BalloonSlayer · 31/12/2010 13:30

Was he an ahem older gentleman?

My Mum ( ! ) mentioned once that as she got older her pubes got straight and silky instead of coarse and curly. Having been in her (wa)hey day in the 70s she was displeased at losing her "bush," as Jilly would say.

TheProvincialLady · 31/12/2010 13:36

My pubes were long and straight before I had DC. Also blonde. I could have advertised muff timotei, if I hadn't trimmed them short.

These days they are the usual dark, short and wiry sort. I don't think it has affected by sexual performance in any way.

Igglystuffedfullofturkey · 31/12/2010 13:36

Balloon Grin Grin

Brilliant thread.

Never come across straight pubes but can sympathise with hair on head being rather curly. Hence I destroy chemically straighten it. My head hair that is, just to be clear.

TheLogLadyMBE · 31/12/2010 13:36

I have seen A Lot of penises (penii?) in my time (although am not slapper just observant nurse).

I have never seen one with dougal like hair. Not normal and most definitly weird.

MissQue · 31/12/2010 14:38

Sounds pretty odd to me Grin I've had a totally silent bloke, hated that, he showed no emotion or feelings whatsoever while we were at it! I like a bit of feedback y'know..

allgonebellyup · 31/12/2010 14:50

Yes, my last twatty fling made NO sound whatsover, you'd think it felt as boring as taking the bins out for him.
i even had to say "did you like that?" afterwards, and he would just nod or something.

LaurieFairyonthetreeEatsCake · 31/12/2010 14:56

I have never heard of straight pubes - I can understand it if you epilate and it then damages the follicle and then they grow straight (much like what happened with my wavy head hair that lost it curls at 30-ish)

But straight pubes that haven't been permed straight or had the follicle damaged? Xmas Hmm Nope.

I remember seeing a program about Madonna once and one of her exbf's said she had pubes like this silky and straight, in fact I think I recall him saying they were like a horses mane!

MissQue · 31/12/2010 15:11

Mine are straight Blush and I've only ever shaved them. Apart from once when I used Veet. I recommend you don't use Veet on your pubes. It burns. Blush

giraffeshatewinter · 31/12/2010 15:15

An ex fling of mine used to shave ALL his body hair off. It was ridiculously silky smooth (chest, legs, armpits, pubes) and a bit EWWWW. He wasn't even a triathlete or some such nonsense, just said it was much cleaner that way!!!

Malificence · 31/12/2010 15:36

DH could swish his pubes Grin
Are they not normal then if they are long and silky? Shock
He's always had them, when he's lying in the bath they float around his cock like Ophelia's hair.
It's like the bog-roll advert, soft , strong and very long.

Malificence · 31/12/2010 15:39

They're not straight though - there is a bit of a kink to them. Smile

welshbyrd · 31/12/2010 15:45

Fab thread

Maybe he treated himself to a set of GHDs?
Did you notice any burns or anything down there, aswll as long pubes? Grin

Hassled · 31/12/2010 15:47

:o at "like Ophelia's hair". You need to lob some random flowers and pond weed in the bath to complete the look.

Sassybeast · 31/12/2010 15:55

Oooh. I have vague memories of a freaky Patricia Cornwell type novel when the killer had some sort of unusual condition which meant his pubes were straight and silky - the hairs found at the scene of the murders were assumed to be head hair until some clever high tech CSI type machine solved the mystery. Was quite a scary read - think he was a werewolf tpe Shock

Macrophage · 31/12/2010 16:00

Mine are straight.

And silky.

Blush

That's IT then. He's a frigging werewolf.

QueenStromba · 31/12/2010 17:09

Ladies, I really can't stress this enough. Please do not put conditioner on your pubes it's really not going to do good things for your vagina. I was at the sexual health clinic today for a check up and they spotted that I had a bit of thrush. I wash with Simple soap and the doctor said even that was too harsh to be using on your vagina even though it is better than perfumed soap or shower gel. She actually gave me aqueous cream to clean it with until the thrush is gone (it was in the cupboard next to the caneston).
