I agree, it was absolutely amazing! I could watch it over and over.

So YANBU Grin

Lizzylou · 30/12/2010 14:21

It was fab, wasn't it?

classydiva · 30/12/2010 14:23

Was superb!

TheFarSide · 30/12/2010 14:23

Yeah but what/who was filming blizzard cam, snowball cam, and all the other weird cams?

Was there an overarching cam?

SarahStrattonsBaubles · 30/12/2010 14:26

I missed it but the Fail has some lovely pictures of one being beaten up by a seagull!

ChippingIn · 30/12/2010 14:29

It was amazing - I alternated between Ahhhhh and NO nononononononononon!!

PuppyMonkey · 30/12/2010 14:29

Dead good.

Lizzylou · 30/12/2010 14:32

Me too, Chippingin. Was peeking through fingertips at times Blush

Those males trying to bump off the cubs. Do you think that that will phase out as Polar bears are so threatened?

ifancyashandy · 30/12/2010 14:36

Footage was amazing. anthropomorphizing was not.

Numberfour · 30/12/2010 14:39

Ifancyashandy, I had to look up "anthropomorphizing" but now that I know what it is, I agree! It was a bit irritating.

sockapoodle · 30/12/2010 14:40

Was the only thing my family have happily sat down together to watch and all loved. Was amazing! I'm in awe of the mother bears.

cornsilkcornedbeefhash · 30/12/2010 14:40

what happened to the 2nd cub - there were 2 - I went upstairs with ds- came down and there was only one

ifancyashandy · 30/12/2010 14:41

Drives me mad! The amazing camera work / animals / scenery speak for themselves - I don't need the film makers to give the polar bears a personality!

I blame the meercats! And Disney!

nickelbabyjesus · 30/12/2010 14:41

this one?

aww.
Grin

seriously, though - polar bears are cute, but rather fierce.

I missed the programme.
:(

Furball · 30/12/2010 14:41

there were 2 polar bear mums - one had 1 cub and one had 2 cubs Smile

nickelbabyjesus · 30/12/2010 14:42

i messed up the link

Confused
cornsilkcornedbeefhash · 30/12/2010 14:43

ah thanks! was a bit worried!

hairyfairylights · 30/12/2010 14:56

It was fab we really enjoyed it.

mogwhistle · 30/12/2010 15:46

Best tv prog I've seen all Christmas Smile

MerrilyDefective · 30/12/2010 16:18

Stealthy critters though

ChippingIn · 30/12/2010 17:09

Yes, the way the one went around the back then under the ice to get that seal was amazing, the seal only just escaped (thank god it did though!).

I found parts of it really hard to watch, I didn't want the PB's & their babies to starve, but I didn't want them to kill the seals either :(

I'm too soft for wildlife programmes!!

redfairy · 30/12/2010 17:15

I really enjoyed the programme - well I did up until the bit where DH invited me to display my wares in the style of the female bear who was in seductress mode for her beau. I fear bending at the waist and displaying my rump and bits may not be so attractive!

ChippingIn · 30/12/2010 17:36

I know - she was a right little strumpet wasn't she!! Grin We were killing ourselves laughing at her 'come hither'...

ChippingIn · 30/12/2010 17:37

Still - it's nice to know the female PB's are 'up for a bit' and not just 'taken' by the males!

theevildead2 · 30/12/2010 17:42

Me and Dh were laughing at that bit too... She ran away and then was like oh fuck.. and had to come back with the killer moves Grin

Typical lazy male though.. Couldn't be arsed to go uphill for a bit!
