It all started with flu, then passed to dc's,where one got a chest infection, then I got a sickness bug, then passed to dc's then fil insists on coming over after we all receovered, when the day before he had the shits, and insisted on staying over ours even though they did not drink.

We have it all now since he left,im really peed off as dp is now ill with all three.

This has gone on for nearly 4 weeks I am at my wits end and have just exploded in rage to dp and said in future if inlaws are ill they can bloody stay away,as I have had to clean up shit most of the day from my toddler,im exhausted aibu?.

YANBU at all. People who go to work ill because they are being stoic or who visit other people while knowingly being infected with something like D&V are just plain ridiculous.

A woman I worked with a few years ago would come to work with bronchitis and the like, coughing, spluttering and snotting all over the place. We were all supposed to applaud her dedication to work.

YANBU

I used to have a next door neighbour who always popped over with her 3 DCs and would usually announce that they have just got over (i.e. this morning) a bout of D&V. Result = mopping up vomit for days on end.

Selfish tossers.

YANBU. My DSis was due over to see us Xmas Day, but as I had a horrible cold and her DD2 has really bad asthma, rang the night before and told her to stay away. Also didn't go and see other rellies for the same reason.

All it takes is a bit of thought and consideration, and not wanting to make other people or DC's ill with your germs.

prettymuchapixiegirl · 29/12/2010 20:59

YANBU!

We are currently all getting over a stomach bug thanks to family members that thought it was okay to go to my mum's on Xmas day despite the fact that they'd been puking and shitting all week.

Some people are just selfish!
