YANBU. stay there as long as you can. Is there anyone who could come and help / take the DC out?

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 29/12/2010 09:55

Not at all, dd and I are eating choc biscuts and watching something special we are in our pjs!

OhYouSnowySnowyKitten · 29/12/2010 09:56

YANBU at all, the longer you can keep them there the better for you. I hope you feel much better soon.

armani · 29/12/2010 09:57

No not really. My mum has taken my oldest dd down to Cornwall for a few days, so not here to helP. Dp will be home at one.

When they get bored take duvet to sofa and put cbeebies on

being ill with preschoolers is a nightmare

ZacharyQuack · 29/12/2010 09:58

YANBU. Just do whatever it takes to get through the day when you're sick. Your DC's will remember this as a treat day.

Dp home at 1pm?
Fab news! He can give them lunch and then take them out all afternoon
just make sure he knows of the plan first

Oh I remember that feeling - the guilt - take it easy and get better. At one you can completely let go..take some 'flu meds and curl up cosy.

Sorry that you are feeling so rotten.

perfectstorm · 29/12/2010 10:08

God no, how will making yourself iller and delaying recovery help them? Don't be so hard on yourself - sounds like they'll have a lovely snuggly day with their Mum, and you'll get a modicum of rest.

I hope they stay nice and chilled until your DP gets home and you can sleep properly. I'm sorry you feel so awful - no going off sick with kids, is there? If you can fancy it I'd be having the G & B myself! Grin

Yanbu at all, the kids must be loving cuddling up to mum with chocs for breakfast. Hope you feel better soon

Thank you everyone. We are now in the frontroom watching peppa pig and they are eating cheerios. I'm hoping after their cereal they will both have a nap. Thank god dp is taking half a day! My head feels like I have been stamped on.
