Just feeling a bit cheated, although I know Live TV is not without problems.

It has made me a tad broody though, so must have enjoyed parts [shocked]

Just wondered your thoughts?

YuleTideD0G · 27/12/2010 16:09

Ohhhh oneborn, were you on the last one shown. Breastfeeding a boy?

singarainbow · 27/12/2010 16:59

I hate the programme because it makes me wince, and takes me right back to my experiennces of childbirth....I swear it makes me hurt!
And as for the comments about gay parents, I am a lesbian mum of 3 kids with wife of 15 years, and I really don't give a flying fuck what she or anyone thinks. Grin

LesbianMummy1 · 27/12/2010 17:16

singarainbow just been told about this thread by someone via facebook who i met through mumsnet

it did make my skin creep that somebody can call herself futurePM yet is so opinionated she puts Hitler to shame i notice she has not been back today shame as i could have asked her what i did to screw my kids over too!

singarainbow · 27/12/2010 17:23

Lesbian mummy...no I wasn't, been browsing all day and completely missed it as I dont like the programme, just clicked on it as I was really bored...and what a read!!

FuturePM is not worth my, or your time. Wink

dustycups · 27/12/2010 17:35

LesbianMummy1 · 27/12/2010 17:38

singarainbow sorry did not mean i was annoyed with you it just amazes me futurepm had lot's to say when most people were not on mn but now they are she disappeared

Cleofartra · 27/12/2010 18:51

Sorry IAmOnOneBorn - must have missed your bit. Blush

"Im sorry i hate people assuming women are going to bf"

Why? Most can and most do!

girlsyearapart · 27/12/2010 19:06

Well done you for being on it and congratulations on the birth of your recent arrival!
I saw all except one of the episodes (which could have been you!)
The bits with breastfeeding I saw were where the mum had the baby cuddled into her and may or may not have been bf ing or it may ve been skin to skin cuddling not sure.
You need nt feel like you have to hide [iwasononeborn] unless you were one of the presenters! Grin

FuturePM · 27/12/2010 19:17

Forgive me for having a life. Singa, married for 15 years? Great :) I wasn't aware that gay marriages were legal 15 years ago, but as you can see I don't really pay much attention to the rights of the minorities.

theboobmeister · 27/12/2010 19:37

... and she's back!

MumBarTheDoorSantaUsesChimneys · 27/12/2010 19:55

Oh LM1 wondered if you'd come along, Dustys been here for a while. Grin

Futurepm needs to go and work on here angle for getting voted!!

northernrock · 27/12/2010 19:58

Actually caught my son doing the YMCA dance earlier.
"The minorities" are winning, clearly.

MumBarTheDoorSantaUsesChimneys · 27/12/2010 20:00

Northern Grin

YuleTideD0G · 27/12/2010 20:08

Rights of the minorities. What? Who gave them rights. Bloody hell next thing there will be black people on buses. It's political correctness gorn mad I tell ya Hmm.

IAmOnOneBorn · 27/12/2010 20:13

Sorry for not replying sooner. I'm a bit busy at the moment - can't think why!

YuletideDOG yes that was me Xmas Grin Apologies for the screaming during delivery!

YuleTideD0G · 27/12/2010 20:15

Ohhh I thought you were lovely. Not even g+a iirc? I remeber the bf bit it was lovely. And your dd is very sweet. Congratulations Grin

YuleTideD0G · 27/12/2010 20:20

Nope I mixed you up I think just rewound on sky + there was another lady who's dd came to visit baby.

IAmOnOneBorn · 27/12/2010 20:23

I gave in and had gas and air for the first time hence the uncontrollable screaming. I'm not sure that the film showed just how quick and intense the labour was. They cut out the bit where the midwife told me not to push until she had put on her gloves and got someone to fetch a delivery pack!

Ria28 · 27/12/2010 21:09

FuturePM - nature only demands that het couples procreate, not that they raise the children together. Plenty of animals (eg elephants) are raised by lots of females and have no paternal interaction - how is it unnatural for two women (or men) to raise a child together?

supernoodlesrock · 27/12/2010 21:32

IAOOB - congratulations on your baby and well done on being brave enough to have your labour filmed.

dustycups · 27/12/2010 21:35

futurepm do you have children?? what if they turn out to be gay?? do you not want grandchildren!

what annoys me is that you think that a women who naturally has the need to have children (like nature intended) should either ignore it or ignore her need to be with someone of the same sex! so basically live her whole life unhappy Hmm

MumBarTheDoorSantaUsesChimneys · 27/12/2010 21:56

ah bloody internet keeps cutting out!!

Right all turned off and on again and this is the last time I'm typing this!!

futurepm I know Dusty and LM1 through MN local. I would like you to tell me whose children are most screwed:

Mine: DS has been raised by just me since the age of 13 months and his father choses to have no contact.

Dusty's: whose children have lived with their father since birth but whose mum is now in a gay relationship.

or

LM1's: whose children have been born into a gay marraige and have always had 2 'mums' for parents?

So take your pick!!! Wink

LesbianMummy1 · 27/12/2010 22:03

we are all condemned to hell mumbar

My dc's are obviously screwed as they do understand the concept of two mummies and dd1 aged 9 speaks openly about her parents and explains everything to her friends and has argued with some bigotted people in her 9 years of life about why she feels she is the loved a lot and is happy

dustys kids because they have to learn to cope with having two mummies

and your ds because you did not just move a man in as he obviously needs two parents and the love and dedication you show to him must be screwing him up

All our dc's like each other particularly your ds and my dd1 so they can all burn in hell together

hideyhideynamechange · 27/12/2010 22:09

ooh yes can we do a sweepstake on whose children get most screwed up? Points system maybe for CCJs, Crimewatch appearances, whatever ASBOs will be called in 20 years' time?

what about me, we're a male/female couple, but dh is on benefits, surely I can join in?

futurepm, express what opinions you like, but if loads of people laugh their ovaries off when you do, it's worth having another look at the opinion?

dustycups · 27/12/2010 22:10

oh i so hope she comes back to respond but so wont!
