Just feeling a bit cheated, although I know Live TV is not without problems.

It has made me a tad broody though, so must have enjoyed parts [shocked]

Just wondered your thoughts?

I too got annoyed with the skype cutting out constantly.

FWIW I know same sex couples raising children and their children are far more grounded and happy, as is my DS being raised without a father, than some famililies I know who dc's have mum and Dad around. Its great people have their opinions but IME children who experience diversity are extremly tolerant of others and none of those I know are underflourished!

dustycups · 26/12/2010 22:30

hey mumbar!!

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 22:35

Dustycups- how old were the children when you began your relationship? How did they take to it?

JodiesMummy · 26/12/2010 22:38

"surprised at how many women are giving birth lying in bed"

what do you want them to do, birth while serving a three course meal?

dustycups · 26/12/2010 22:41

6, 3 and 2! and fine although of course little one dont really understand! guess they just like seeing there mummy happy for the first time in there lives!

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 22:45

Do they understand the concept of 2 mummies? I mean does your partner live with you (I presume she does?)

dustycups · 26/12/2010 22:48

no she doesnt! its a long complicated story! but there is no way that what happens is gonna mean my children will flourish anyless that those with a mother and father at home!

YuleTideD0G · 26/12/2010 22:53

FuturePm care to elaborate?

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 22:53

I'm afraid I disagree with you. But best of luck with that.

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 22:54

Yule Tide-of course, elaborate on what?

YuleTideD0G · 26/12/2010 22:55

retarded you're just lovely aren't you Hmm.

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 23:00

Yes, retarded, an adjective; less advanced in mental, physical, or social development than is usual for one's age.

I applied to the social development in the sense I don't know ANY gay parents.

Your next criticism?

coldtits · 26/12/2010 23:02

futurePM

dustycups · 26/12/2010 23:02

wtf!!! tell me what a man can give a child that a woman can not!! especailly when there is male influences in there life!

infact im confused, do you think a child would be better off with a single mum than with 2 mums!

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 23:05

Thanks CT, aside from the fact it's from The Times which discredits it a tad, it's interesting..so what about gay men?

almost3 · 26/12/2010 23:05

Oh my goodness, I have never ever posted on a thread when it gets heated because I honestly hare bitchiness but please futurepm, do not use that word. It is terribly offensive to my son, my sister and the 400 hundred people I work with.

Oh and please do not ever attempt to fill the position your name suggests, I cannot imagine a worse role model for our population

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 23:06

I think if nature intended for 2 women to raise a family together (aside from natural occurences like death etc)then it would be possible for same sex couples to pro-create. It's nothing personal, just my opinion. And natures.

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 23:07

Almost, I applied the dictionary definition as to how it was intended. I wasn't mocking people with disabilities, that much is clear.

coldtits · 26/12/2010 23:08

FuturePm, you know that you've basically said "I know nothing about it and have never given it a second's thought, but it's definitely wrong"?

The study itself was not done by the times. Google it if you wish to inform yourself - it's about time you did, really.

coldtits · 26/12/2010 23:10

"Nature" also thinks that wearing clothing and eating cooked food is unnatural.

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 23:12

No I haven't read the scienctific opinions, as I don't value them too much. I just believe that men and women should raise children together, as was designed. Unless nature intended us to have 5 children with 5 different men then run off with a woman to raise them? If that's the case I stand corrected.

dustycups · 26/12/2010 23:13

grrrrrrrrr! so cos nature didnt make it so two women could procreate it means that two women who love each other and have loads of love to give to a child should not just because they can t naturally have them together!

i challenge you to meet a lesbain couple and see the intense love between them and then tell me they shouldnt have a baby together!

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 23:15

I just don't think it's natural.

Aims80 · 26/12/2010 23:15

Future I believe you're taking the mick? If you're not then I suggest you educate yourself.

I have two wonderful mothers who have been in a loving, joy filled relationship for 32 years and my brother and I had brilliant childhoods. We both have great careers, lots of friends, own our houses, he is married with kids and I have a great fiance and am about to have a baby of my own who both my mothers will dote on. I'm not showing off, just demonstrating that I am not a damaged individual as a result of not having a father (I had wonderful male relatives in the form of my grandfathers and uncle anyway) or witnessing the 'outrage' that is a happy gay relationship on a daily basis..
