high is defintely a little cat statue from dd. She bought it all by herself on her first solo trip around a shopping centre - I was terrified, she was very cool about it all and managed to keep what she had bought a secret. She is growing up!

Carrotsandcelery · 26/12/2010 22:26

Belle if I say I will be outed as it is very original.

BibiBlocksberg · 26/12/2010 22:26

"nowt....didn't get a bloody thing!"

You and me both Osbega :

"My wonderful mother had my son's (10 mths) footprints, downsized onto a solid silver pendant and keyring with his name engraved."

If I ever manage to have a child then that is what I will now demand ask for for his/her first christmas. What a wonderful idea and gift(s)

dexi - it's Big Fat Positive, as in pregnancy test.

High - Kindle, a silver ring that I saw on the internet and sent DH the link for, a bracelet charm, wooly hat, debenhams voucher, Shred DVD.

low - a breo watch in the same colour as the one I couldn't get to work. I did want one, they only cost a tenner, but DH bought it in the same colour as the one I already have. I was hoping he'd be able to fix the old one with the instructions from the new one and then I'd have one in two different colours.

Oh I thought BFP was breast feeding pump!!

OP: Yes do it, it's beautiful! I think they're called smallprints or something similar.

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 22:34

Ahh gas and air-I'll ask for a cannister of that next year. Remind me!

BibiBlocksberg · 26/12/2010 22:34

"Shred DVD."

Part 4 - shredding all over the world Grin

Sounds rivetting - do you have to turn it off after 30 seconds and keep it off for at least 40 mins after that like my crap shredder?

Sorry, being really stupid......

Many congrats Babycass!!! I've got all my tests in a box with all the baby name tags...oh dear that sounds very sad doesn't it?!

Ladyofthehousespeaking · 26/12/2010 22:41

Highs- beautiful bracelet from dh plus the whole of the lush shop (seems like!) because he's wanting me to relax so the baby is looked after in my tum
mac makeup from my mum which I would never justify buying myself but adore

lows-a shoe shine box from MIL that she won in her works raffle

(she is lovely though!)

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 22:45

Dexi-I've only had one child, but I kept the test in his baby box!
Don't feel alone, I'm tragically sad too.

tingletangle · 26/12/2010 22:46

We are mostly a present free zone.

Dds books did not arrive in time which was a low but I did buy her Monopoly revolution, which takes longer than the orginal - but she loves it. I also got payday from a charity shop for her after seeing it recommended on here and it was the best £1:50 I have ever spent.

We also buy a board game for the family every year - we bought blokus after reading about it on here and it is great.

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 22:53

How can Monopoly take longer than usual? That game can last days-or until divorce is announced?!

juneybean · 26/12/2010 22:55

My best friend bought me a cookery book Hmm I've never ever spoken to her about or expressed my interest in cooking (I consider myself to be a fair cook).

I was slightly miffed tbh!

thatsnotmymonkey · 26/12/2010 22:58

From DH
dress from Top shop that I love
Muji Slippers
mixing bowl
pie dish
global knife
infinity scarf
perfume
fudge
egg cups from local potter
Roberts retro DAB radio- I LOVE IT
From DS who is 2, so really from DH too
dinky heart ornaments
bird wall hooks from rocket st george

Was very very spoiled this a year! No lows- usually DH has a big panic and buys something he would like.

Northernlebkuchen · 26/12/2010 23:04

Dh got me this coat I wasn't expecting a coat at all. I have needed one for years but never justified the expense. He took dd1 and dd2 with him to buy it. It fits me like a dream. It is incredibly flattering. It fits on the shoulders, the bust and the hips. I feel amazing in it and I cried when I looked in the mirror. Tbh I still can't believe it. He is always pretty good at buying for me - but has excelled himself. Btw - I am a size 22 with a 38H bust - I am not easy to buy for.

lazylula · 26/12/2010 23:08

I got some pyjamas, a small hot water bottle and a smelly set from my boys and dh.
Today from my parents I got:
2 maternity tops
slipper boots
Inspector Layton ds game
Shared pressie of new touch lamps for our baedroom.
I also got some money from one set of in laws and mil gave me some money a few weeks ago to get myself some maternity clothes so got jeans and a top.
No real low points.

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 23:13

Northen- that coat is lovely! I have a similar problem, I'm a size 10 12 with a 34G chest, and doing up coats with buttons is a nightmare, they either strain or flatter your boobs into one big pancake.

Well done to your dh Grin

trixymalixy · 26/12/2010 23:15

High- unexpected present from my sister. She had told me she was getting everyone presents of photos of her DS, so when I felt my present was a photo frame I was a bit Hmm. Not that I don't love my DN, but not what I really want for Xmas!!

Anyway, when I opened it it was a photo of my sister and me when we were kids dressed up for hallowe'en outside my Gran's house.

Hard to explain, but the picture just captures both our personalities and our relationship. I nearly cried I was so touched by it.

Didn't really have a low Grin.

Oooh sorry, double post and no strikethough - you get the jist though :)

BibiBlocksberg · 26/12/2010 23:19

PinkIceQueen - that is a truly weird list of 'gifts' there (apart from the silver bracelets of course)

Does he know he's soon going to be an ex and has chosen the items to spite you or is this his usual standard?
