I think my favourite was the H+M slouchy top my DD1 got me .. she's a student and totally broke but she got something that is absolutely my style..haven't taken it off yet:)

I think the 'mull your own wine' kit from MIL might not get used tho.....

swanandduck · 26/12/2010 17:54

High: A lovely coat

and

brilliant cook book I did not even realise I would like but I love it (not from dh hasten to add).

Low: Came downstairs in a new dress on Christmas morning and Sister's face dropped - guess what she had parcelled for me under the tree?? (At least she knows my taste Smile.

VallhalaLalalalalalalalaaaaaa · 26/12/2010 18:05

I was given heaps of goodies, all of which are lovely, but my favourite is by far the least expensive. It's a calendar featuring a dozen beautiful photographs of the park which was the playground of my childhood. :)

babycass · 26/12/2010 18:06

My BFP which I wrapped up and gave to my other half :) We then re-wrapped it and gave it to my parents!

I just joined. This is my first BFP. I'm TERRIFIED...

HecTheHallsWithBoughsOfHolly · 26/12/2010 18:08

nothing says I love you like a stick covered in pee. Wink

seriously though - congratulations! What a fantastic christmas present for you all.

Don't be terrified. It'll all be fine. Great even.

It's a long way off, but I heartily recommend the gas & air!

dementedma · 26/12/2010 18:12

all highs - makeup, perfume (CK1), stuff from Lush, lovely jewellery, a silk scarf from Hobbs and all sorts of bits and pieces.

BibiBlocksberg · 26/12/2010 18:12

Congratulations babycass and :) at HecTheHalls

"I think the 'mull your own wine' kit from MIL might not get used tho....."

£100 from my mum for myself and ds (she got ds a present too).

Bubble bath from ds beautifully gift wrapped (chosen by him but done by a grown up).

The most beautiful bouquet of flowers from a friend which were waiting on my doorstep when I got home Christmas Eve evening.

onceamai · 26/12/2010 18:46

75 from the MIL, 50 from my mum, 100 from dh. champneys bath stuff from my boss - at least someone bothered to go and buy me something!

SeaTrek · 26/12/2010 18:47

I got ONE present this year - a living gifts voucher.

I couldn't be happier. Honestly, after years and years and years of me telling people I would honestly rather not have presents they have finally realised I am being serious.

kay1975 · 26/12/2010 19:02

I got an iPad from DH and the case and keyboard to go with from ds1 and ds2. Lotso the bear and a blanket from my mum. And the most surprising was professional photos of my 2 boys which my mil had done in October for a surprise!! Also got the usual chocs, bath stuff and books! Its been a fab Christmas :)

EmmaBemma · 26/12/2010 20:18

My best present is a beautiful cherry red KitchenAid mixer from my wonderful mum. It is such a generous present and I was beside myself with excitement when I opened the wrapping - felt five years old again!

RudeEnglishLady · 26/12/2010 20:49

Posh jeans. High
Picture frame. High
Clippy things to hang tea towels up with which sounds shit but they are great and make the kitchen and bathroom look nicer. High.
Lazer hair removal treatments, simultaneously low and high being both horribly painful and yet life changing.
Hand warmer. Low. No need, got mitts - high.

Pretty happy with that lot :)

pranma · 26/12/2010 20:54

New camera, which is waterproof - so I can get pics of ds swimming in the summer, Tiffany's necklace, noise reducing earphones, scarf & gloves, new gorgeous slouchy clothes, aromatherapy heated socks, some spending money from ILs, new ds game.

No duds, very happy!

OsbegaEthewulf · 26/12/2010 21:36

nowt....didn't get a bloody thing!

penguin73 · 26/12/2010 21:44

DH doing Christmas shopping with DS whilst home on leave 3 months ago as he wouldn't be here for Christmas - high

My presents still being hidden in the safe place as DS now can't find where he put them - definite low!

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 22:09

Highs: My wonderful mother had my son's (10 mths) footprints, downsized onto a solid silver pendant and keyring with his name engraved.

Lows: Some tools Hmm like I do DIY.

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 22:10

seatrek what's living gifts?

BelleDeChocChipCookieMonster · 26/12/2010 22:12

Nothing so I bought myself a coffee machine (what was I thinking?)

dexifehatz · 26/12/2010 22:16

Wish I had some juicy prezzies Bibi!! I come from the West Midlands and 'saft' means silly or daft ,hey hang on thats where the word comes from then...[]grin]

FuturePM · 26/12/2010 22:18

Ooo a coffee machine, I have a normal filter coffee machine that does normal filter coffee (funnily enough) and espresso. But I'm really hankering after the ones that do everything and are the size of a kettle rather than my beast of a machine huge one.

Which one did you get?

Carrotsandcelery · 26/12/2010 22:19

My favourite gift was a handcrafted one from one of my friends. It was VERY specifically me in every detail and I am deeply touched. It was also totally unexpected and I feel a little taken aback by her thoughtfulness. Xmas Shock but also Xmas Grin

dexifehatz · 26/12/2010 22:20

What's a BFP?

BelleDeChocChipCookieMonster · 26/12/2010 22:21

I bought a Tassimo, from Amazon on xmas day. I'm regretting it now though as it wasn't cheap and the pods cost more in P&P then they did origionally Hmm Damn 1 click ordering, it won't let me cancel until they have been delivered Sad

Ds would like to know what you were given Carrots as he says it sounds lovely.
