YANBU.

At midday today on a narrow road some oncoming twat was doing a high wheelie on his motorbike at about forty mph. Could have swerved, come through the windscreen and killed my entire family.

And on that cheery note... Xmas Blush

alphamummy · 25/12/2010 00:36

YANBU

AuntiePickleBottom · 25/12/2010 00:36

my dp got talking to the police, who said the amount of verbal abused they have encountered tonight over stopping cars was really shocking.

i would rather this than the worse happening

the cells on xmas eve.....not a good place to be!

madhattershouse · 25/12/2010 00:41

My DP has been stopped every year when he picks up my brother on xmas eve...at least he does not drink!!

AngelZigzagsSparklyYuletideLog · 25/12/2010 00:55

Fuck yes they should stop anyone to breathlise them, it's not a grey area, if you've had too much to drink then you've had too much.

theevildead2 · 25/12/2010 01:33

5 mins of your time being breathalised won't kill anyone. So think it is a perfectly fair measure.

I fucking hate drink drivers

Katey1010 · 25/12/2010 02:03

YANBU. I would LOVE to be breathalysered (sic). I live in Canada and bloody everyone drinks and drives. It is terrible. I have been stopped in the UK, but never here. Good on the Police I say.

anonymosity · 25/12/2010 03:00

Maybe he swerved or went through a light? They normally have reasonable cause to stop someone. Or does his license plate come up as someone with a lot of traffic offences maybe?

Goblinchild · 25/12/2010 03:54

Round here, the police do random testing without needing any clues. Good on them I say, My cousin got run over some Christmases ago by a drunk driver who chased him along the pavement for fun and smashed his leg up.
Zero tolerance campaigner, that's me.

lillybloom · 25/12/2010 08:28

Goblin thats shocking! Police test randomly in my area too. I don't mind as long as they don't take too long.

ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 25/12/2010 08:44

Random testing here in Hungary too. And there is officially zero tolerance. So ANY alcohol in your system will get you done. Unless you get a bribe-able policeman of course which you can do.

A friend was breathalysed at 39 weeks PG here!
