Morning everyone! Hope you are all ready for christmas??

I'm 23weeks preg, work full time and have pretty much done every single christmas related chore so far this year. OH promised he would help me sort the house out this week, we have visitors this evening and tomorrow. We only moved here 2months ago and in that time I've done pretty much everything. So this week, he promised he'd do it, its christmas eve, I'm working from home which seems to translate to him as 'on holiday' and he's still in his bed! AIBU to be in a mood with him? we are supposed to be nipping out this afternoon so now I'm in the middle of doing the chores whilst juggling work emails and calls while he lies in bed.... :(

Sorry, maybe i'm just a bit grumpy, can't sleep properly as I have pregnancy related itching over my whole body :(

Cxx

Get him up and tell him there are things he has to do! You can't do it all on your own.

I tried that and he wouldn't budge, hes just got up and is sitting on the couch and I'm seething... x

tell him that unless he gets up and gets his backside in gear you will call your guests and cancel this evening, end of story. Either he pulls his weight or it does not happen.

Or

Pour some cold water over him, then blame a momentary lapse of control due to hormones.

Me too.

For future reference, what about a direct challenge.

"Are you seriously expecting me to do everything? Is that what you think is fair? That you stay in bed / laze around while I do ? Is that what you think my role is? Is that what you think a relationship is? The woman does all the work while the man sits back and is waited on? Because I have to tell you, that's not a relationship I intend to be part of. So you need to make a choice. Come and talk to me when you've decided what you want to do."

Then go get yourself a coffee and sit down.
