as it's the only way I will get time to myself, without the children, alone, in peace.
And I want a new dress and new jeans for DD1 as the dog ripped hers.

But it won't be worth it, will it?

alone?

in peace?

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

TrillianAstra · 24/12/2010 09:40

Go for it. If it's horrible you can come back.

DingDongMaryBSonHigh · 24/12/2010 09:41

I've been known to do it. Somehow, despite all the bustle, its a LOT easier when you don't have the kids with you. And people aren't generally trying on dresses on Christmas Eve, they are more likely in the supermarkets fighting over the last stalk of sprouts (or, as I saw at one supermarket a few years back, squabbling over the shopping trolleys and BUYING them off people! Xmas Shock)

I love going shopping on Christmas Eve Blush - but only if I'm shopping for things I don't actually NEED to buy that day. But then, I live in a town centre so no driving/searching fruitlessly for parking spaceparking involved.

Sarsaparilllla · 24/12/2010 10:24

I don't think shopping for clothes will actually be that bad, but if posisble I'd get a taxi and book one back, rather than drive, cos parking will be stressful :)

southeastastra · 24/12/2010 10:25

i went to new look yesterday in a big retail park and got a space no problem and no queues at all in new look was nice and peaceful! go for it

MsKLo · 24/12/2010 10:26

I don't find Xmas eve that bad - it's the days before that are worse

Have fun!

DingDongMaryBSonHigh · 24/12/2010 10:57

Taxis are difficult because they are so busy...

You'll be better shopping today rather than in the Boxing Day sales too...

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 24/12/2010 10:58

Definitely go for it. Xmas Eve is often quieter than other days.

DilysPrice · 24/12/2010 11:08

I like Xmas eve shopping too, and lots of the clothes sales have started already.
