Xmas Grin I have never, ever, had everything wrapped three days before Christmas. Tears of tiredness at midnight on Christmas Eve is more my style (and as my eldest is 17 that is a LOT of Christmasas!). I know some of you probably had it sorted in November but I am so pleased I have had to pour myself a large glass of rose while I MN!

That made me chuckle lizziemun. Yes, I am in Sydney (and it is 30 degrees and sunny, hence the rose, but you probably didn't want to hear that!)

Midnight on Christmas eve is EARLY for us.

Caboodle · 23/12/2010 10:44

Finished mine last night and felt ridiculously smug Smile, and the house is clean and shopping is done Grin. We are also normally rushing around on Xmas eve, and wrapping presents into the wee hours but I was determined not to do that this year. (although I realise that I will have forgotten something and still have to do the mad Xmas eve dash).

LatteLady · 23/12/2010 10:47

Well done... I still have to finish making a couple of bits. The year I finished wrapping presents early, there was a flood in the flat upstairs... grrr!

woopsidaisy · 23/12/2010 10:54

Yes,smug face re:pressies here too. Just finished making more sausage rolls-DH please stop pilfering them! Tesco delivery man got a few too,he was very pleased!
Going to see Santa with wee ones this afternoon, then have to make casserole for tomorrow, have friends coming over.
Make stuffing and bread sauce and brownies tomorrow. So looking forward to kids in bed tomorrow and then I will feel like a wee drink too.
When I was little my mum used to sigh and say Christmas was so much work. I couldn't understand it! I do now! Xmas Grin.
But it is all worth it when you see those little faces on Christmas morning, and get together with family. Can't wait.

hifi · 23/12/2010 11:36

Mowiol · 23/12/2010 12:02

You are all smug b**ds Xmas Envy Xmas Grin

I am awful at wrapping - "dogs dinner" just about sums it up! Grin

Caboodle · 23/12/2010 14:10

Mowiol - the great thing about wrapping pressies for kids is that they really don't care isn't it? Smile. Long gone are the days when I would sit with ribbon and bows and lovingly wrap everyone's present. I swear that this year I have wrapped some of the boys' pressies by rolling in paper and then just going round with the tape - like a sausage in cling film. That should keep 'em busy for a while on Xmas morning Grin.

Mowiol · 23/12/2010 14:38

Ah I see your point Caboodle, I really do but we only have one little one to wrap for - the rest are "big kids" and GPs etc.

But I can do a perfect "sausage"!!! Grin

lifeinagoldfishbowl · 23/12/2010 14:48

I thought I was all smug at having wrapped all my prsenets until I realised I had misplaced a present and had to unwrap a couple to see if I had labelled it wrong - I had! [Thank god I checked before Christmas emoticon] Xmas Grin

Caboodle · 23/12/2010 16:27

Mowiol - I do not evny you wrapping stuff for 'grown-ups'.
Lifein - argh, how bloody annoying Xmas Smile
