to stamp on the christmas lights in a fit of temper because they are all tangled up?

Or would that be childish and ridiculous?

Two sets of tree lights were obviously rammed impatiently in a bag last year (probably by me Xmas Blush) and now it's a big spaghetti mess!

Aaaaarrrgh!

You will only feel better for a nano-second. Then you will feel like a tool who needs lights. Get someone else to do it? Pay a kid?

SproutsMakeTortoiseFart · 22/12/2010 18:44

I packed mine away neatly in boxes, they were still tangled up when i got them out. How does that happen?

ProfYaffle · 22/12/2010 18:45

3 words: Pre lit tree.

swanandduck · 22/12/2010 18:47

I often shout and give out to inanimate objects. I wouldn't stamp on them though. You'll just have to buy new ones and hoover up all the broken glass. Have a glass of wine and calm down. Smile.

Mowiol · 22/12/2010 18:49

See, ProfYaffle I knew I should have gone the pre-lit route!

toddlerama - I know, I know - should have packed them away properly in the first place.

Trouble is I have zero patience levels and it always gets me into trouble.

I'm going to get DH to untangle them - he loves a challenge! Grin

I did exactly the same, lost my temper about 3 years ago, swore never again. Picked up a pre-lit tree in the January sales. Sanity restored Smile

Sorry - but am laughing at your thread title ... sums up my life totally!

I think all frustration tantrums are justified - especially at Christmas ... I usually have mine while queing - hate queing for shopping - it drives me mad!

Alcohol works for me - especially at Christmas

yanbu. same with mobile phone chargers too

ClaireDeLoon · 22/12/2010 22:34

Explain a pre-lit tree - do you need a tree sized space to store it out of season?

I let DP deal with the tree lights he is obsessively neat with such things (yet strangely thinks the rest of the house is a dumping ground for his general rubbish, go figure).

Well done. Have you opened that bloody bottle of wine yet? I'm dying for a glass.

Mowiol · 22/12/2010 23:25

Blush - only had a bottle with two glasses left and I drank it already.

But Aha!... I have sherry or whisky
