To never want to see a white Christmas again

I used to think it would be absolutely lovely but all it means is hassle getting to work so no time to do last minute present shopping, nights out being cancelled, worry over whether family will be able to get over on Christmas day, and hair looking shite because I left my straightener in a friend's house and her estate is snowed in.Sad

Here, here.

Looks like my little sister will be all alone in another country and my mum will be alone too. Presents haven't arrived and I want my family to be together.
Stupid snow.

YANBU. This sucks.

swanandduck · 22/12/2010 19:53

Forgot to mention that the house looks like a tip, with snow marks on the floor, wellies thrown all over the place, gloves drying on the radiator and toys absolutely everywhere because kids have been cooped up indoors.

YANBU can't belive I was all excited about a white christmas. Give me all my family together on christmas day any day over a white sodding christmas!

nancy75 · 22/12/2010 20:20

the really rubbish bit is that we have put up with all the crap because of the snow and it doesn't look like its even going to be a white christmas here!

Serendippy · 22/12/2010 20:26

I want a white Christmas as I am not going anywhere and inlaws have already arrived. I also, however, want not the merest sign of white on boxing day when the inlaws are due to go home.

I want my picturesque white christmas cake and want to get rid of the inlaws on time eat it too!

saffy85 · 22/12/2010 20:42

Same nancy. biggest stupidest joke ever- plenty of snow to keep my family apart over christmas but on the day itself it'll all have melted and no doubt just be replaced by rain.

hermioneweasley · 22/12/2010 20:47

swanandduck - why are you describing my house?

Laneigejaune · 22/12/2010 20:59

YANBU. Fucking hate snow now. Give me a traditional damp grey British Christmas anytime.

swanandduck · 22/12/2010 21:48

Hermione

Bet you don't also have the towels on the floor by the back door because of all the melting snow the kids have walked into the kitchen.
