To ask who has received the poshest/ most outrageous Christmas card ?

Amongst our collection of cards this year there are two main contenders for the annual prize of poshest card (amongst the slightly inducing round robins )

These are a pen and ink line drawing of the interior of Durham Cathedral ( by sender of course )

And a Wai-wai inspired card with a photo of hundreds of sunflowers on the front, all of which have been hand decorated with a little holly leaf. You open the card to find one of the holly painted sunflowers stuck in your card !

Do you have anything half so impressive ?! LOL !

Wow, that is a crazy amount of effort!

My favourite one is a picture by their toddler on the front and a little 'about the artist' bit on the back. It's really funny and sweet.

I have a 'family' hand drawn card that has been photoshopped/drawn online and then hand watercoloured in.

No poncey cards here. Am very pissed off. I have the opposite problem; cards that are cheap shite and curl up and fallover. I fucking HATE cheap cards. Same with those ridiculous tiny cards. I'd rather not have any cards than those tiny Lilliputian cards for Lilliput people

I have one from a royal. It weighs a tonne.

I feel bad as I've not sent Christmas cards since 1993.

Ai Wai Wai is a sometimes provocative, human-rights defending, contemporary artist, originally from China.

He currently has a famous,huge, art installation at Tate Modern, consisting of a huge pile of individually painted sunflower seeds ( millions of them, which took years for hundreds of people to do )

We happen to have seen it whilst visiting my parents in London.

My daughter said the card from my friend was "fantastic and lovely"

Yes the royal ones are very good - as are the big ones from the british legion and red cross - mum used to get all those as she did lots of charity work.

Our local MEP's one has a nice view of Tower Bridge. Thats about it in our house.

A nice curly one which is so bent you cannot see the dates as they have curled back round to the top. Looks like a toilet roll stuck to the wall !

Actually did get a very thick posh one from the dc school. Took one look and thought that means a rise in fees next sept.

I sent the ponciest card this year, I ave sent LEGO cards

The poshest card I used to get was a little water colour that Prince Charles did especially for me (although I have a feeling he may also have sent it to several thousands of other people too )

The most outrageous one we got was from Nick Clegg. He may be our constituency MP but I sure as hell didn't vote for him and he can f right off frankly. No posh cards here, but slightly concerned that most of my cards seem to be from people I pay (gym, cleaner, cat-sitter) rather than yer actual what you might call mates. I am hoping I just have spectacularly disorganised friends.

I know it's ethically correct etc. etc., but I do feel sad that so many people seem to be dropping cards and going for e-mail greetings.

Not really impressed with the card selection this year...someone's 2 year old drew a snowman on a PC and it was printed...hardly impressive, but sweet.

However, my local Indian DID give their regular favourite customers bottles of wine from Harrods, gift wrapped and all. That was nice...I even went to my mother's and stole hers, so now I have two!

I got one from Harry Holland (the incredible artist). A personal one, as I once posed for him :)
