to think that threads shouldn't be deleted unless for a good reason?

I increasingly see posters asking for threads to be deleted because they don't like they way that it's turned out, or feel that they've been judged Hmm

I completely agree when the content could prove dangerous for the poster, or they could be identified in RL etc - but should posters really be allowed to ask for deletion just because people didn't agree with them?

MNHQ make the final decision. They only delete for good reason.

Asking is one thing, getting a deletion is quite another.

Ah.... is that the case? I wasn't aware of that, see. I see people saying that they're going to request a thread to be deleted, and assume that's what will happen.

Really? I assumed that if an OP asked for their thread to be deleted, MNHQ would do it. That's interesting. Makes sense though, if other posters have contributed.

I think it's not so much that posters don't agree with the OP, but that they realise their thread was ill-advised and it's putting them in a bad light.
