I love shake and vac it smells divine. :) I have no idea about it breaking hoovers or dirtying carpets though.

I love the orange blossom Shake 'n' Vac. It just smells so clean. No idea about hoover damage though, I've had mine for 5 years and it seems ok!

TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 10:44

Which flavour smells the nicest?

TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 10:44

Ooh orange blossom obviously!

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 20/12/2010 10:45

You can only use it if you put on a flippy skirt and do the dance when you use it.

TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 10:46

I've got that stripy skirt from Joules that the mother in Grandpa in my Pocket wears. Will that do?

tyzer2001 · 20/12/2010 10:48

It does tend to block up your vacuum filters - but then so does dust LOL so you may as well block them up with summat that smells good IMO!

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 20/12/2010 10:48

I hope you don't have brown velour sofas like hers though.

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 20/12/2010 11:01

Now I've got that bloody jingle stuck in my head Xmas Angry

superv1xen · 20/12/2010 12:45

oooh i dont think i have used the orange blossom one, it sounds really nice, i will have to have a look for it. i usually use the magnolia and vanilla.

well i guess the general consensus so far is it doesnt damage hoovers or make carpets dirty :o

MissHellToe · 20/12/2010 12:48

I LOVE it. Only problem is that my DH normally does the hoovering and complains when I chuck down the S and V that it gets all over his socks.

cakewench · 20/12/2010 12:53

I know I'm not the only one from the US originally so I'm just going to add that when I saw this thread title, I thought of en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shake_%27n_Bake. I would also like to add that it, too, has a catchy advert ("and I HELPED!!")

I've never heard of this product but we had something similar back home er, for fleas our pets brought in. Xmas Angry No pets now, but I'd love to see what that orange blossom smells like!

I used to use it until I was told that it actually rots your carpet. Apparently, it gets down into the roots so to speak and stays there doing its damage. Dunno, but I don't use it anymore.

Xmas Grin sorry Toughas Xmas Blush

FiveColdRingsForSolo · 20/12/2010 13:19

And just to add that it was a professional carpet cleaning company that told me that. Don't know if maybe it's when the deeprooted S n V gets wet it rots...sounds feasible though.

TrillianAstra · 20/12/2010 13:33

Of course YANBU - it puts the freshness back you know.

superv1xen · 20/12/2010 15:28

oh god fivegoldrings thats a similar story to what i was told :( maybe it IS true then

although the fact it came from a carpet cleaning company makes me a bit suspicious tho tbh

tethersjinglebellend · 20/12/2010 15:33

When I was a kid, I covered the living room carpet in talc as a response to the advert.

Inexplicably, my mum didn't hoover it up whilst dancing and singing a happy tune Confused

superv1xen · 20/12/2010 15:47

ROFL tethersend :o

bet that didnt hoover up easily, its so fine.
