OK maybe slightly biased towards it BU having just spent 10 hours getting fom Glascow to Gatwick airports. Roads were appalling and coach was sliding all over in parts. Lucky it was overnight and during Sunday I guess as at least they were quiet. Or no-one else was doing journies as recommended not too!!

I agree, so YANBU.

However I don't know the reason why you were flying to Gatwick in the first place. Travelling during snow is risky and being diverted is just one of the risks associated with flying in bad weather.

I would rather sleep in the airport.
Last big snowfall it took me 18 hours to get from Stanstead to Heathrow by bus.

We were flying back, about 30 minutes from landing we were told we had been diverted to Glasgow!! No room at the inn as far as Gatwick was concerned due to earlier closures.

Took my Brother, also flying back from elsewhere, 9 hours from East Mids to Oxford.
