taking DS & DD into town today?

Hate being stuck in the house and can't think of anything to do. They get so bored when we're at home. It's too cold to wander around the park. Am I bonkers for contemplating taking them into town? I don't have anything specific to buy. Was thinking about going for a walk and getting some xmas foodie bits from M&S. DS is 3 and DD is 2.

depends what the weather is like, there is no way i am moving the car today. It is icy and there is still snow thick outside my door.

so another day in for us today :)

Why would it be bonkers? Why not take them to a cafe for lunch? Or a family friendly pub if you have one?

I'll be going into town.

It is however, in normal conditions only a 10minute walk. In this thick heavy snow probably 20mins walk. I won't be pushing a buggy.......

Thankfully all our snow is gone. We were hit badly the week before. Still a bit icy but bus routes will be ok. Shopping is undercover so won't be cold.

seeker I'm wondering if it's bonkers as it's the last sunday before xmas. Not sure if it's going to be total mayhem in the shops. Cafe/Pub sounds lovely but they don't 'do' sitting! There's a wacky playhouse but it's driving distance and don't want to take the car.

I shall keep racking my brains. Prob will venture into town. If it is crazy we can just get the bus home. At least they'll have been for a ride

We are taking our 2 to a Christmas Party this afternoon, they are 2 and 5. We will probabl;y take them on the sledge, it's a nightmare trying to push the buggy! If you can get to town ok, then wrap them up warm with extra layers and off you go!
