to not go in to work?

I'm 35 weeks pg, going in is an hours journey on a good day (half hour walk/half hour train) with 3 year old DD in tow (dh collects her from me at work on his way home) and today is not a good day! its been snowing constantly and heavily all day and isn't forecast to stop until late tonight.
the tube is currently just about running, part suspended, severe delays...
If I wasn't almost 8 months pg I'd def brave it, but I slipped on the ice yesterday and really sprained my hips/pubic bone, which has made me a bit nervous about walking through it with DD, who tends to want to pretend to ice skate in this weather....
so aibu to ring and say I can't work tonight even though i could probably get in, it'll just be a nightmare, and I don't finish till midnight so I'm worried about getting home...
it would be a pita for my colleagues but they'd manage.

YANBU. Falling when pregnant is not a risk I would be prepared to take.

I was just wondering how Mosschops got on today. Have I got the right poster? The ICU nurse from yesterday who posted about an hours walk in the snow in the dark. Did she make it?

I don't know, I recognise the name but didn't see the thread.
hope she's ok.

London? Don't add to the casualty list.

well it turns out the building's currently closed due to a gas leak and they've been outside all afternoon waiting for the gas man! so I'm definitely not going in!
