Some pavements are still dodgy...the councilc have not done anything

It does have a funny side...

A young lady was helping me on the ice...
her dad shouted to her "Have you pulled again?" no chance

We expect more snow on Saturday. How are you doing?

If everyone did the bit of pavement outside their own house there would be no problems! This is what we do and DH does the elderly neighbours too who can't do it themselves.

TrillianAstra · 17/12/2010 12:36

Not every bit of pavement is outside a house.

Not every house is occupied.

Not everyone owns a shovel.

We had about 45 cm of snow fall today. I am not going to clear my lovely piece of pavement, people will be falling over themselves to walk on it.
I may throw some salt down though.

LaWeaselMys · 17/12/2010 12:59

Clearing in properly leads to black ice.

So you might need to organise some workshops first.

LaWeaselMys · 17/12/2010 13:00

Improperly

PlanetEarth · 17/12/2010 13:22

Round here the pavements that were cleared when the snow arrived are just fine. Those that weren't are now covered in a couple of inches of ice - treacherous.
