Irrational Celebrity Hatreds?

perfectstorm · 17/12/2010 05:33

The Kylie thread got me thinking about annoying celebrities who aren't really doing any harm. They aren't Mel Gibson, or Pete Doherty, or even Kanye West. Yet they raise my bloodpressure, just the same.

Am I being unreasonable to hate:

Kirsty Alsopp. Her home shows did it - I was never bothered when she did Location Location Location. But now she trills on about how you can do all these things on the cheap, before she calls on some artisanal craftsman for the stars (Little Venice Cake Company, anyone?), gets them to give her one-to-one tuition, then fecks off back to her country manor until they turn up a few days later with her own slightly inept offering... and a complete set of stellar ones they put together as a gift, which would ordinarily cost the national debt of a developing nation. It's like Marie Antoinette offering cake recipes to the plebs, while chummily declaring that taste requires no cash.

Bruce Willis: because of the way he purses his lips. No other reason. It makes me shudder.

What is the fuss over Rosie Webster? She's no minger but she's nothing special from what I can see and her clothes are awful.

I'm talking real life btw as I don't watch the show but I'm a shameless magazine junkie Blush

Anyone who hates Bono should definately watch the episode of South Park where they rip the piss out of him. I still hate him obviously but I smirk when I see him now instead of wanting to break things Xmas Grin

Also Ronan Keating. Hate him have no idea why. His one redeeming feature was he seemed to be a loyal faithful husband and then he ballsed it up by cheating on his missus.

Same with Eldrick-no-longer-a-Tiger-Woods. Hate that slapper Rachel U-Shit-girl that he cheated with too. She's not technically a celebrity bt she's trying so hard to be. How many times must one flush before she goes away?! Angry

Christine Bleakley - my fists start to ball up whenever her mug appears on my screen. I suspect she is smug, plus she is with frank lampard, which indicates a serious lack in judgement and taste.

Alex chung - I just don't 'get' it, what is the point of her.

Keira k - for irrational fury at the pout.

Any offspring of existing stars- mylie, the smiths, osbournes. Just because

lovelyopaque · 17/12/2010 20:39

I have taken agin many of the female BBC breakfast presenters, and think most are genuinely irrational, especially Weather Carol, Susannah and Sian. Really really couldn't say why.

sharbie · 17/12/2010 20:50

can i just say i love this thread and i love you all

thecatatemygymsuit · 17/12/2010 20:50

LittlebearH · 17/12/2010 20:58

Cat "Pantene SWISH" Deeley.

Trop · 17/12/2010 21:07

I'm going to add sexual predator Julian Assange to the mix.
His ego is overtaking everything he is supposed to be doing that is good and detracting attention from men like Bradley Manning who truly deserve public attention and support.

lololizzy · 17/12/2010 21:54

Still laughing at 'big haired batterer'.
My mother has always had a Russell Grant 'phobia'. I used to feel that way about Bob Holness off Blockbusters, though that's showing my age a bit!!
Also..Nicola McClean and Michelle orangina Heaton

lololizzy · 17/12/2010 21:57

Remember years ago reading a journo's article about their hatred of Martin Lewis, you know, the elderly newsreader!! now that one is random!! made me laugh though Smile

ReindeerBollocks · 17/12/2010 21:59

Little bear - Cat swish Deeley was a major pain in the arse, we had the unfortunate position of spending a full afternoon with her diva like self. I was not impressed.

I have to switch over when Cheryl Cole or Alan titchmarsh are on, and Holly willobooby is starting to irritate me too.

lololizzy · 17/12/2010 22:01

This is mean..and isn't hatred..but .. Lo Bosworth, whose eyes are so close together she looks like Cyclops..want to reach into the screen and pull her eyes outwards!! Confused

Partyof52010 · 17/12/2010 22:03

Michael Ball. Just can't stand the man. Have turned down work due to his being involved. This is, of course, sheer lunacy. i have never met him.

Liz Macdonald from corrie. Stopped watching because of her.

Barbara Windsor. Grow up woman.

Gary Wilmot. Ugh.

Niecie · 17/12/2010 22:14

Deborah Stephenson and John Culshaw - whoever told them they could impressions?
Gordon Ramsay - ranty foul mouthed adulterer
Al Murray - what a weird shape head he has.

Oh yes, just having another look at the thread and saw Katherine Jenkins - I swear there isn't a natural fibre in that woman's body. She looks 100% fake and so bloody irritating to boot.
And Kiera Knightley.

Carol somebody who does the Friday night lottery programme. We have to turn the telly to mute when she come on.

prettyfly1 · 17/12/2010 22:21

My OH hate, hate HATES Katy Brand. Nowt to do with her being large - he loves a curvey lass - he just thinks she is fundamentally unfunny. He would also like to add ricky gervais, amanda holden, pierce morgan, christine bleakley and whiny sienna miller.

methodsandmaterials · 17/12/2010 22:23
