Seen anything good at the cinema recently?

I'm thinking of adult films (grown up not porny Grin).
DD is home from uni in a few days, and we usually treat ourselves to a trip to the cinema. What's worth seeing at the moment? -I was thinking of the Tourist (the new Johnny Depp one), or Unstoppable (with Denzel Washington). Anyone seen those?
We are not averse to a good kids one either (last thing we went to was Toy Story). Any suggestions? TIA.

yanbu. Xmas Grin

I like the sound of Unstoppable.
although, I used to fancy Denzel but he looks too old and fatherly now. :(

FWIW I loved the new Harry Potter Xmas WinkXmas Grin

I saw Unstoppable a few weeks back and really enjoyed it. The story is just a run away train and not much else, but it is exciting, a bit like Speed without the romance.Chris Pine is cute as well and works well with Denzil.

I enjoyed the tourist - has a few moments of so bad it's good, but it did have some good funny moments.

I want to go and see Tron..... but need a night when both dh and I aren't doing something, and a babysitter!

orangina · 16/12/2010 14:34

I enjoyed the lesbian family flick a few weeks ago (ashamed to have NO idea what the name was....). Good evening's entertainment...

Going to see The Tourist on Sunday Grin

Was it "The Kids Are Alright" orangina

Thanks for all the replies. - DD might like the Harry Potter (she's seen all the other ones - I haven't so wouldn't have clue what's happening probably)

Tourist is getting mixed reviews - on the chat thread I started no seemed to like it. I do lurve Johnny enjoy Johnny Depp's work though. Grin

Tourist is utter cack. Really. And I speak as a fellow lover of All Things Johnny Depp. Angelina is garbage in it too. I went with Dp and we both agreed that it was a waste of two hours and £50 (hotdogs, popcorn, bucket of Coke etc) so immediately went back in to see the Harry Potter film. I'm not a huge Harry aficionado (unlike DP) but I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

southeastastra · 16/12/2010 15:49

quite fancy london boulevard but only cause colin farrel is in it

orangina · 16/12/2010 15:52

Sorry, yes, it was "The Kids are Alright".... really enjoyed it!

(duh, no brain left atm.....!)

orangina · 16/12/2010 15:53

Wanted to see the latest Mike Leigh too (again, the name escapes me.... Blush), but I'm not sure it's on general release any more....

(I don't out enough, obviously!)

FindingAManger · 16/12/2010 15:59

DD (aged 3) found Toy Story 3 to be very scary. I said but it was funny too! and she looked at me very earnestly and asked "what was the funny bit Mummy?".
I didn't find it that scary but I did cry!

haven't seen anything else for an age - I'd like the see the Swedish Dragon tattoo trilogy

FellatioNelson · 16/12/2010 16:04

Another one for The Kids Are Alright

It's a fantastic film - will have you laughing and crying.
