Not really, obviously, as I love her very much.

But she gets SO excited when I work from home and it drives me insane. Earlier she miowed into my blackberry and then headbutted it to the floor when I was on a conference call with my CEO. She's now insisting on lying upside down (tail in my face, head hanging above the floor) while I'm typing.

I can't shut her out as she can headbut the door open. She's just had surgery so she can't go out.

But if this carries on any longer I'm probably going to be demoted on the grounds of being a madwoman controlled by her cat.

I feel your pain... One of my cats is a rescue feral who, after months of me working on her overcoming her terror of me, is now practically glued to me all the time I'm indoors (she's too frightened to go outside).

Not only am I on the verge of tripping over her most of the time, she lies on me whenever I'm sitting down/in bed. To make matters worse, she is constantly licking me, which is sweet in small doses, but does my head in after a bit!

But I love her to pieces!

My lovely snowshoe gets under my feet All The Time. Just wanting a tail-pull or milk or ears tickled or milk. Every time we open the fecking fridge door. Every time we walk across the kitchen. Sitting down, eating, MNing, "wheres the milk, mum?"

at the licking. I get that every morning. Once I thought that if I lay very still and ignored her she'd stop. She put her tongue between my lips. If I put my head under the blankets she scrambles under to get close.

She just did a poo and then began driving me mad. Turned out she wanted me to visit the poo and mark the occassion with a cuddle.

DP works from home. We have 2 purebred moggies, one of which must have some Siamese in as she's very vocal. He often has to explain to clients why they can hear a cat trying to talk to them - they think it's lovely!

The other one is a fat ginger puddle of fluff who purrs all the time. He is currently waiting to be checked out so he can be a pets as therapy cat and come to work with me

I want to kick my cat too - it's just crapped under one of the dc's beds!

Purple I have a Ginger bundle as well but of stupidity not fluff.

YRBU, your cat is behaving like this as you have not set any rules in place.

I got him at the same time as I first started working with kids with ASD, so did a lot of practice at home with him - which worked LOL

mine gets so excited to see me he jumps on me and then starts to suck his nipple! Even the vet has never heard of that one [shocked]

coccyx - are you joking? The first line of my post says I'm not being serious. And we do have rules. She isn't behaving badly, just being overaffectionate because she's excited that I'm around. And yes, it does get a bit wearisome that she insists on being cuddled ALL DAY.

Aw, it is very cute but it does do your head in.

My gorgeous boy always wants cuddles when he knows I'm busy/about to go out. He pins me down and 'suckles' at my clothing.

My cats peed and pooed on a pile of presents in the corner of the dining room during the recent snow, presumably because they couldn't find anywhere in the garden to dig! Some of the presents survived to be rewraped but a few didn't! But that's what you get with pets. If you can't be doing with it, don't get one.

I think you should get your cat a cage. Not a tiny horrible one, maybe more like a playpen type thing, when you need her to be good/quiet/out of the way. At least that way she couldn't knock your Blackberry over.

I have 2 Devon Rexes, and one follows me around yowling like he is going to die if it is less than 6 hours to a feedtime, or if I am anywhere near the kitchen. He also tripped me on the stairs once, I fell down the full flight and broke my ribs.

They are sitting watching me like fuzzy gargoyles now. I think they are just waiting for me to die so they can eat me.

zukiecat my one fell into the bath the other day. I was in their reading a magazine with a glass of wine and she tried to jump up and missed the ledge. Poor thing. Bruised ego. And I now have a couple of scratches rather close to my ladybits...

Sorry to hear that zukiecat. I lost two cats last year - one of heart attack and my precious little kitten. I still miss them both very much.

I always kick my cat with two feet. But only as a last resort when the naughty step and time out don't work.

My dumb animal is a Dog in Cat's clothing. To wake me up he puts his cold wet nose in my ear and purrs really loudly. Bit of dribble thown in for good measure usually too!

I love my two pusses to death but I'll admit that when The Fat One has pooed on the floor or weed on the sofa again or when Mr Handsome comes in for that 3am wet-nosed snuggle I really wonder why...
