to think I might be going mad? or have been done over by ASOS/the 'internet'

Really, might actually be going mad...

Placed an order with ASOS on sunday afternoon, some dresses to try for a works do on thurs night. Have nothing that fits me after DD born (8 months ago Blush) so wanted something lovely.

Placed the order, £166, got the screen at the end, thank you for ordering, here is your ref etc.

Only it didn't arrive (mon) there is no reference number (it says -1 - I bookmarked the page) and when I try to find my order, and enter my email address, they basically say I don't exist.

Have emailed, no reply, still no package, and £166 is still in my account.

So am I going mad? I am sure I placed the order, I must have done, had the thankyou for your order screen?

Aaarrgh!

And I know this is the wrong place to post this, sorry, but there wasn't a 'Do I exist?' topic...really beginning to doubt my own sanity!

so the £166 is still in your bank acct, or still in your ASOS basket?

Maybe when it gets to the end screen you have to push another confirm button. I had this happen recently while ordering something, same confusion, and re-ordered, discovering I missed the last vital step (different supplier I should add)

I placed an order recently with asos with a 'next day delivery' slot on a Thursday, and it didn't show up until the following Wednesday. I think it's the weather causing disruptions. Have you checked your email, that's where I get my 'thanks for ordering' blah blah etc etc sent to, and there was a tracking number so I could 'follow' its slow and painful journey.

Oh, just seen that the £166 is still in your account... yes, that is very odd. I would assume it would come out straight away....

Don't bother emailing them, you'll get a generic "weather is crap not our fault" excuse from them, I also ordered a dress, supposed to arrive in 3 days, taking more than 2 weeks so far?!
My order does not have a tracking number on it either so I dont know where it it!!

It's not looking good then..I still have the £166 in my bank account, and can't access my bag or profile on there, as they say I dont exist - I tried both email addresses I use, and they say neither are registered - this is what doesn't make sense, as they couldn't have let me place an order without this surely?!?

no confirmation email either! have checked everywhere I can think of..

Right, will try the bank tomorrow, see if they can tell me if the money has been put aside for ASOS - but don't think it has.

Dont think I will bother with them again - just got desperate - and now still have nothing to wear!

Have you tried calling/emailing ASOS? I've had something similar to this before (can't remember which company) where they moved databases and some people got lost in the move, IYSWIM.

If not then I'd cancel it so I knew they couldn't take the money.. (but that's just me)

Shitty email time, did you ever get any kind of confirmation? If not, paste the screenshot of your statement (with important bits blacked out, obviously) and demand to know where the fuck your shit is :p

I think what happens is that they don't take the money from your account until they are sure of when they can process and deliver the order (so even though you ordered earlier this week for next day delivery, they couldn't deliver it till tomorrow).

I was rather confused by their ordering system as well. I placed my very first order with them this afternoon at 13:57PM for same day delivery thinking, "Bah, it'll never work!" Item turned up at 21:45PM! Grin I was an official convert till I saw this thread ... Hmm

well, turns out I do exist, have finally managed to log in. My delivery is 'being procesed'. just hoping now it ends up being delivered before my school shuts for the holidays, even if not before the works do.

lets hope it turns up tomorrow then - hello santa, you have given me hope!

Mine was "dispatched" on 6th dec. Maybe it's going via America.
I'm still getting the crap "we are experiencing difficulties with delivery times" email in return to my "where is my order" emails!!
