DS's birthday today.

His aunt/uncle who live 30 mins away by car and drive ... who we haven't seen in a year(!!!) read my FB status that its DSs birthday.

She spiels out all the 'happy birthday we love you so much Totoros DS!!'

Er, but no, you don't though do you? Cause you won't phone him, you wont send him a card, he wont get a pressie or a visit.

We can't go there BTW as they live with someone else and we can't take out kids round as they live in one bedroom of the fla and theres just no room and it 2 buses away.

So AIBU to think 'if you can't be bothered to visit / call / send a card or present to your nephew then purrlease don't drone on about how much you love him and wish him Happy Birthday on an internet page?!'

I can understand you being annoyed as it does seem a tad hypocritical but at least they've managed to wish him Happy Birthday.

It is a shame they don't make more of an effort but we never really know what life is like for other people so they might have their reasons. Money, time etc.

Happy Birthday from DurhamDurham!!

Blimey. At least they wished him happy birthday!
