To hate southerners accents?

Alright i know i am a teeny bit but i cant bear the accent from down south.
I hate all that cockney geezer talk and yet they mock northern accents

You should all learn to talk properly. A Northern accent just sounds, well, wrong.

But then if you only have to talk to pigeons and whippets then I don't suppose it matters much.

yanbu, and why do people think a southern accent is intelligible. Bil is from Essex, I cannot for the life of me, understand a word he says.
Although that is something of a bonus .

I'm not keen on the sarf London accent, being a northerner myself...that's north London (am vay posh).

Dh has a gorgeous northern accent and he loves my RP.

In my NCT coffee group out of 11 regulars only 3 are from the north. The rest are southerners

To get away from all the Northerners who've moved darn sarf innit.

But WE don't have an accent surely Ours is 'normal' and yours is 'regional'
