Personal problem this morning

I had struggled through the snow for 10 days.Kept my feet.

This morning it was like an ice skating rink. Got a taxi

We have had hopeless pavements for 10 days.
nothing done.

yet I am told in London councils have cleared pavements.

How about your area (I am in the Midlands,.)

Here in Belfast it melted on its own, but before then no one was clearing. They all kept passing the buck.

the "nothing done" should have been next to the ".... 10 days"

London snow melted - all gone, all by itself, in about 36hrs.

We are in a town in east yorkshire. Main roads and pavements cleared or gritted (finally). Side roads and pavements however terribly bad. Like oil on glass. Streets full of wheelie bins overflowing with rubbish. DS has taken some mega falls and it's bound to be my turn the way the dog pulls me on his lead.

Have to say this thread is not at all what I guessed it would be from thread title.

East midland snow was all gone yesterday

Berkshire snow was here for a day then gone.It was just a dusting too, i am still waiting for real snow

I would say this was a community problem rather than a personal problem

i have signed up to an email scheme where local council email to say where they are gritting/salting etc (the info came from the school so we know which roads are being treated as school is in another village)

they have gritted round schools,shopping centres.old peopes homes and wardened housing. so they say,i havent checked

we only had a dusting of snow too....alot of gritting going on it seems in prep of ice
